The owner has been servicing my car for about 15 years. Unless it was an absolute emergency and he was unavailable, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car. He does a great and conscientious job, on time, for a reasonable price, and more than once has saved me significant money. As an example, I recently took my car to the dealer to have a malfunctioning (and wide-open) window repaired. (This is a case where it was an emergency and he wasn't available!) The repair cost hundreds of dollars. 5 weeks later the repair failed, and the dealer told me their repair didn't fail; it was actually a NEW issue that would cost me another big pile of money to fix. No thanks, I said and headed to S&W. Turns out the problem was a loose connection, an easy fix. S&W saved me $400! No question about it: I'd sent any and all of my friends to S&W to get their cars serviced. Dana S. Braintree, MA

For over 20 years, I have had all of my vehicles maintained and repaired by B&D, (plus extras like remote starters and sound equipment installed). The prices for parts and labor are transparent and reasonable, quotes for work are on target, my car functions beautifully, and I have consistently felt extremely well treated by everyone in this shop. The customer service is excellent, the mechanics are very knowledgeable and honest. They initially told me that there was nothing wrong, they called me later on after they had done their homework and said that they had figured out what the problem was, they also told me that if I had any other issues to bring it back to them in a heartbeat.

I was planning to go on a business trip to NY and had a couple of issues with my 10 year old (but reliable) car. My sister suggested American Brake in Stoughton, where she takes her car. Tony and staff was not only friendly and extremely professional but great and fast service. My car was ready for the long drive and I felt more secure behind the wheel after they did the repair and performed their "Pre-trip Check Up"

Horrible Service. Originally I told them my car is making a noise and I had just had my rotors and brakes done. It was clearly metal rubbing together. Simple thing to check but because I'm a women they attempted to take advantage of me. They tried to tell me my brakes were cheap until I said I got them from the dealership. They tried to tell me I need a part replaced that I don't. I waited for an hour and was never told what they were going to do or how much it was going to be. I only asked that he tell me what the noise was. After an hour and having the owner in the office with me and then slip away, without a word. The mechanic says it sounds better, I was told to charge you x amount of dollars. But they didn't do ANYTHING! I called the owner and all he could say was it's for what they did but couldn't say what they did. I refused to pay and surely as a drove away my car was just as loud as when I came in. Total waste of time. A bunch of snakes.
