They initially told me that there was nothing wrong, they called me later on after they had done their homework and said that they had figured out what the problem was, they also told me that if I had any other issues to bring it back to them in a heartbeat.

Tony and staff was not only friendly and extremely professional but great and fast service. Make sure to take physical pictures of everything that is broken or needs repair that you’re already aware of, prior to bringing your vehicle into this shop. They will exploit those damaged/failing parts and cause further damage to them. It seems to be part of a ploy to generate revenue for their shop because they will then try to get you to make the repairs there. Don’t expect any accountability either…. They seem to have temporary amnesia when confronted about damage that they were clearly responsible for. Alan Symmes and company - stop believing that each customer that steps foot in your shop, is as naïve as you paint them to be. These are the types of mechanics that will pull the bait and switch on you, if presented with the opportunity…. You know, replacing your new parts in working condition with used/failing parts to swindle honest customers out of their own money.

Brought my BMW to be serviced seeing it was running rough and the CBS indicators showed that I needed rear brake liners and a fluid flush. The tech's found the problem and recommended a course of action. They even said that the last dealership I bought the car from did not reset the brake sensor and I did not need pad or liner's. The communication on their progress was great and the price was fair; let's face it, when you opt to buy a BMW you should go into this purchase understanding that these cars need maintenance and the parts for them are not cheap. Gerardo's offers a great alternative to the dealerships and provides service above and beyond them.

Richie is a very honest mechanic, so happy I found him. I had some major problems with my brakes and he went above and beyond to get my car back to road worthy. He explained all repairs and costs. Highly recommended

I moved out of state and am sad that I couldn't bring Lenny with me. He is the nicest and most honest mechanic I have ever worked with. The first time I brought my car in I thought I had an electrical problem. Both of my headlights went out at the same time and a spare bulb I had didn't work. I took it in to Lenny and after about 15 minutes he came back and told me that my bulbs blew. Apparently, my spare bulb was also bad. He only charged me the price of a pair of new bulbs. No labor costs! Seriously cheap and he didn't seem pissed that I was a numb-sack for bringing my car in for blown bulbs. The second time I brought my car in I had some starting problems. Lenny found the problem right away and quickly changed out the parts for much less than what I would have paid elsewhere. (I have a mechanic friend in Hawaii that I called and even he said that the repair was cheap!) When I went to pick up the car, Lenny handed me my GPS that I left on the dashboard. He took the time to take out the GPS because he didn't want someone to break into my car to steal it. What a guy! It's been about 10,000 miles since I've had the repairs and I haven't had any problems. I drove my car from Boston to Phoenix and I haven't heard any of the clunking sound that Lenny fixed on my third visit to the Civic Center.

I can't give enough praise to Luis and Dina. I lived in MA for three years from '05-'08 and took my '99 VW Passat there for EVERYTHING it needed during that time. New brakes, regular oil changes, even a serious collision. Fast forward three years: I'm living in California and involved in a class action lawsuit against VW because they make terrible cars (Google Volkswagen water egress, you'll see what I mean. P.S. - don't ever buy a Volkswagen) and Luis and Dina help me get old invoices and documents that I've lost long ago.

Hands down i give this shop the best mechanics in Somerville/ Boston area. I take my car herre when ever there's a problem and they always quote me a fair price and do great work. Also, it's so nice to find an honest mechanic. If you need work done to your car come here. you won't be disappointed.
