I"ve never been to AAMCO for auto service,I've gone to other shops I thought I knew fairly well> I had transmision issues with both my vehicles within a month< along with other vehicle problems.The other shops had different diagnosis for the problems. After much time in the shops ,and substantial cash outlays, the problems persisted to some extent in both vehicles. I went to AAMCO,I had my transmission problems pinpointed very promptly, I discussed other suspension issues,engine isues, that I was having with both vehicles,I told the tech I was very discouraged with the other shops, I wasn't sure of my next move.THe tech told me that he would get to the root of the problems,HE SURE DID! My transmisions were fixed ASAP,and the problems that were so elusive to others,were handily identified and resolved.AAMCO went above and beyond any expectations I had.These guys are the best.They deserve all the credit in the world. I would very highly recommend AAMCO for any and all repairs to your vehicle

I came into this autobody shop because I had always had excellent service. I needed my back light changed and they found that my battery was leaking acid and needed to be changed immediately. I was driving to New Jersey the next day, so I was very grateful that they found this problem and fixed it. Today I was driving home in the snow and my tire light went on. I drove back to them and they checked my tires and put air in them for no charge. I have always received wonderful service from this business and I would highly recommend them.

Hands down the best service out there!! My wife and I have been going here for the last 4 years the people are great..Derrick even checked out a used car for us FREE OF CHARGE! He said it was bulletproof and 3 years later it still is! We moved to boston a few years back and still make the 40 min trek up to Randolph when we are having trouble with our vehicle. I was told about this place from a coworker who raved at his honesty and technical knowledge. Also our vehicle maintainece guy also said he was good. I dropped my truck off to have a boched job that another place did, he had me straightened out in short order and the bill was reasonable. Definitley use them again!

I was planning to go on a business trip to NY and had a couple of issues with my 10 year old (but reliable) car. My sister suggested American Brake in Stoughton, where she takes her car. Tony and staff was not only friendly and extremely professional but great and fast service. My car was ready for the long drive and I felt more secure behind the wheel after they did the repair and performed their "Pre-trip Check Up"

A mechanic you can trust that charges a fair price. Charlie Lewis is a wonderful mechanic that knows what he is doing. He took our car quickly and had the job done right without a hassle. Brought the car in for diagnosis, they said the engine was "seized" (total BS... I later took the engine apart and while I had melted the pistons, the rotating assembly did move and the engine could still turn over). Said I needed a new engine. Told me they found one to buy, then three months later told me they hadn't actually bought it (without calling me to tell me this). Returned maybe 2 calls in all of 6 months. SO, being a Volvo fanatic, I asked a couple of friends, then brought them an engine. A month later they hadn't even started on the swap. A month after that, I went in and took my car, my engine, and a bunch of parts that I had bought back from them. These guys can't pick up the phone without being hounded, their technician told me I was wrong repeatedly, and nobody was really willing to help. Fortunately after six months they only made me pay for the diagnoses they did in the beginning. Credentials: I took the car and engine and parts home and did the swap myself in my driveway in two weekends, having never done one before on my own. Saved an estimated $1800 and didn't have to deal with them again.

Repairing Most Domestic & Foreign Vehicles

Make sure to take physical pictures of everything that is broken or needs repair that you’re already aware of, prior to bringing your vehicle into this shop. They will exploit those damaged/failing parts and cause further damage to them. It seems to be part of a ploy to generate revenue for their shop because they will then try to get you to make the repairs there. Don’t expect any accountability either…. They seem to have temporary amnesia when confronted about damage that they were clearly responsible for. Alan Symmes and company - stop believing that each customer that steps foot in your shop, is as naïve as you paint them to be. These are the types of mechanics that will pull the bait and switch on you, if presented with the opportunity…. You know, replacing your new parts in working condition with used/failing parts to swindle honest customers out of their own money.

AMAZING! My car broke down in Franklin, I live in Watertown...had it towed to Mark's thanks to AAA. I had no clue where to take my car as it was late and everything was closed ( good thing for google looking for local places ). He owns the place and worked on my car, he did not over charge on labor and he did not lie about the cost of parts to make money ( I have had this problem with places in Watertown, Midas, Firestone and the list goes on..although Perfection in Watertown is decent). After he fixed my car he took it for a drive and it was rainy so he replaced my awful wipers free of charge. He inspected all of my brakes free of charge ( my problem was right front brakes ). My car was fixed in no time and he offered to pick me up from the train station as I was not sure how I was going to get back to Franklin, but I ended up getting a ride. His place was very nice, he was very nice..you could tell he loves what he does. It was overall a wonderful experience. He was very honest and I will be making the drive to Franklin for all my car needs..yes, it was that good! Finally, honesty!! Thanks Mark, you saved the day and did not kill my wallet!
