I spotted the Alpha-Omega sign on my way home where I usually had traveled this path many times back and forth without even noticing it. A smiley faced fellow looked on the smashed roof of my truck and in 4 minutes gave me a precise estimation, making a telephone call to the supplier asking for availability of the part, its price and delivery time. The total was well below the estimation of my insurance. I asked Hovie (that was the smiling fellow’s name) if it was possible to wrap up the work in four days. He said that he would do his best. Everything was done on the third day. My truck was stamped with a smile and we (my truck and I) both left smiling. Later I figured out that Hovie worked until very late at night in order to finish the work on time. On the first evening after I gave Hovie “the go ahead”, I decided to check out the references and reviews that customers wrote. There were none! Moreover the telephone number was different than the one on Hovie's business card. “Y-y-yah”, I said to myself, “what a wonderful world… again”. To make a long story short, Hovie along with his partner recently purchased this business and they are doing very well. The parking lot is filled with exotic cars like a 1965 Mercedes Benz, other Mercedes models with carburetors before the era of fuel injection and distributors before the era of electronic ignition. And all these beauties were shining and… smiling. They also do mechanical work. Ladies and Gentlemen, the all would be happy clients of Alpha-Omega, I will be back not necessarily as a customer if the problem arises again, but simply as a friendly visitor. The owner has been servicing my car for about 15 years. Unless it was an absolute emergency and he was unavailable, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car. He does a great and conscientious job, on time, for a reasonable price, and more than once has saved me significant money. As an example, I recently took my car to the dealer to have a malfunctioning (and wide-open) window repaired. (This is a case where it was an emergency and he wasn't available!) The repair cost hundreds of dollars. 5 weeks later the repair failed, and the dealer told me their repair didn't fail; it was actually a NEW issue that would cost me another big pile of money to fix. No thanks, I said and headed to S&W. Turns out the problem was a loose connection, an easy fix. S&W saved me $400! Make sure to take physical pictures of everything that is broken or needs repair that you’re already aware of, prior to bringing your vehicle into this shop. They will exploit those damaged/failing parts and cause further damage to them. It seems to be part of a ploy to generate revenue for their shop because they will then try to get you to make the repairs there. Don’t expect any accountability either…. They seem to have temporary amnesia when confronted about damage that they were clearly responsible for. Alan Symmes and company - stop believing that each customer that steps foot in your shop, is as naïve as you paint them to be. These are the types of mechanics that will pull the bait and switch on you, if presented with the opportunity…. You know, replacing your new parts in working condition with used/failing parts to swindle honest customers out of their own money.

Professionals are hard to find so when you do find a professional we'll run auto repair shop, it's a true find. Mike's is such a place. Family owned and operated. Clean, honest, extremely competent. It's all that you want in 'your' neighborhood auto service center.

Hands down i give this shop the best mechanics in Somerville/ Boston area. I take my car herre when ever there's a problem and they always quote me a fair price and do great work. Also, it's so nice to find an honest mechanic. If you need work done to your car come here. you won't be disappointed.

Our family has been taking our cars to Shell in the Square for years now, both for minor, expected, and unexpected repairs. We rely on the staff's judgement on our old car and have gotten excellent advice, timely repairs and are well satisfied with their service.

Went in to get a headlight fixed for a ticket and made an appointment for the following morning. We decided to drop the car off and uber back after dinner and while finishing up we received a call from Bill who told us he already took care of the light and we were able to drive home only an hour after dropping it off. Very friendly staff and very appreciative of the quick service that was provided...... Thank you guys!!!!!!!!

Professional, quick, and reliable. Murat has helped me in more than one pinch, and is the kind of mechanic you usually can only hope to find. No rip-offs, honest assessments, and a generally nice guy on top of it all.

Great shop. Shop owner is great guy and prices are a lot better than the MB Dealers!! I would call well in advance before your service is due because they are always busy. They even offer to pick up and drop off your car or drive you to work on the day of your service. They also give a good hand wash and vacuum of the inside before they return your car. I would highly recommend these guys!

I was planning to go on a business trip to NY and had a couple of issues with my 10 year old (but reliable) car. My sister suggested American Brake in Stoughton, where she takes her car. Tony and staff was not only friendly and extremely professional but great and fast service. My car was ready for the long drive and I felt more secure behind the wheel after they did the repair and performed their "Pre-trip Check Up"
