I was told about this place from a coworker who raved at his honesty and technical knowledge. Also our vehicle maintainece guy also said he was good. I dropped my truck off to have a boched job that another place did, he had me straightened out in short order and the bill was reasonable. Definitley use them again!

mark is really good about letting you know what you need now vs. what can wait. his turnaround is also really quick.

found this shop doing some online research. Small family run shop with attention to detail and very nice mechanic George. After visiting a few shops in wilmington that had mechanics who didnt seem like they cared about the customer, i found georges shop. Great guy, great work, fair prices!!

Make sure to take physical pictures of everything that is broken or needs repair that you’re already aware of, prior to bringing your vehicle into this shop. They will exploit those damaged/failing parts and cause further damage to them. It seems to be part of a ploy to generate revenue for their shop because they will then try to get you to make the repairs there. Don’t expect any accountability either…. They seem to have temporary amnesia when confronted about damage that they were clearly responsible for. Alan Symmes and company - stop believing that each customer that steps foot in your shop, is as naïve as you paint them to be. These are the types of mechanics that will pull the bait and switch on you, if presented with the opportunity…. You know, replacing your new parts in working condition with used/failing parts to swindle honest customers out of their own money.

I was planning to go on a business trip to NY and had a couple of issues with my 10 year old (but reliable) car. My sister suggested American Brake in Stoughton, where she takes her car. Tony and staff was not only friendly and extremely professional but great and fast service. My car was ready for the long drive and I felt more secure behind the wheel after they did the repair and performed their "Pre-trip Check Up"

My brother has been going to Amesbury Auto for years. About 4 years ago he suggested I go to Amesbury Auto for repairs. The 4 years I have been going I have been 100% completely satisfied with the work that has been done. They are very reasonable priced as well. I took my car here for an oil change yesterday and the service was great! When we were driving back home a little whole later our "check gages" light came on and our oil pressure gage was down completely. We called the store back and the owner came to my house and checked the car which was fine (just a wire). Such great service is rare in a mechanic shop and was such a great surprise!
