I just had the clutch repaired on my 1974 MG Midget at Ron's transmission. He took the time to figure out the exact problem, ordered the correct parts and fixed the issue without a full clutch rebuild/replace. We started going there over 2 years ago, was very happy we found a good mechanic shop, then this winter, 2015..brought mt car in for a oil change and had a few fees that I had never seen before..and they advised me I need my tires rotated (but the were done in September 2014 and I don't drive much...about 7,000 miles a year so I was a little disappointed...then my husband brought his vehicle in for an oil change and he was NOT charge any additional fees...and no recommendations on service and he drives his vehicle everyday. Disappointed and hope this was just a misstep in service.

I took my car here for an oil change yesterday and the service was great! When we were driving back home a little whole later our "check gages" light came on and our oil pressure gage was down completely. We called the store back and the owner came to my house and checked the car which was fine (just a wire). Such great service is rare in a mechanic shop and was such a great surprise!

I"ve never been to AAMCO for auto service,I've gone to other shops I thought I knew fairly well> I had transmision issues with both my vehicles within a month< along with other vehicle problems.The other shops had different diagnosis for the problems. After much time in the shops ,and substantial cash outlays, the problems persisted to some extent in both vehicles. I went to AAMCO,I had my transmission problems pinpointed very promptly, I discussed other suspension issues,engine isues, that I was having with both vehicles,I told the tech I was very discouraged with the other shops, I wasn't sure of my next move.THe tech told me that he would get to the root of the problems,HE SURE DID!
