I have taken several BMWs to Dan over the past 10 years. He is the most honest engineer you will ever find. His prices are reasonable and the quality of work is excellent. Don't bother going to the dealership unless you need a rental car and a cappuccino.

Bethesda Sunoco and the whole team, Ian, Don, Mike, Dominic are terrific. My friend had a car that did not pass emissions inspection. She took her car there and Dominic looked at the car and told her exactly what was wrong and what it would cost. She offered to pay him and he declined. I can see why they have such a high Washington Checkbook rating! Hard to find honest mechanics!

As far as my experience goes, the mechanic team there is the best. Phil has helped out my entire family and the array of issues our cars have had (Acura, Ford, Infiniti). I went in today to see him for the first time, asked for him by name, and he came right out and had me pull my car up to the bay. He then ran some scans based on the issues I told him and laid it all out for me, advised me on a starburst that I recently got on my windshield (and gave me a company he recommended), and a couple of other issues. I basically harassed him with all my questions/concerns and got straightforward, honest advice and it cost me NOTHING. He was a really big help, and one of the other mechanics even came over and gave some input. Did I mention this was at 4:00pm in the center of McLean? Busy time, and they were that helpful.

Overall a great place to go. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. That said, they WILL up-charge you signifcantly to change your engine and cabin air filter. The guy said that to change a cabin air filter, it takes 30 minutes to access the filter itself, thus necessitating a charge of $50 for parts and labor. I knew that was patently false, as it can be easily accessed on my vehicle (2013 Accord) through the glove compartment, which unhinges without any tools. I bought the same cabin air filter from NAPA auto parts for $15 and installed it myself. Essentially the same speech was given for the engine air filter, and I did the same thing. BLUF: Know about how much something should cost and how easy the job is to do it.

You get a good automotive service and reasonable prices, NO NON-Sense like from NTB, Merchant Tires or at Dealerships. Honest repair shop folks in this entire area...........NO RIP OFFS... been going there now over 6 years. they only fix what is needed versus what they LIKE to fix... They get our all vehicles fixed without any upselling pressures. very pleased.

This place was impressive! Clean shop, free coffee, wood floors!! They only charged me $899.45 for the rear main seal on my 2003 Lexus Rx300. The dealer had quoted me $1750! The owner, Jeff told me that he had been working for Lexus for 13 years, he even took care of my idle problem when he did the seal. I mentioned it to him and he knew exactly what it was. I can't say enough good things about J & F Motors. I became a customer in 2011 when the warranty on my 2004 BMW 545i ran out. I felt that I couldn't get good answers from BMW dealerships and every time I went in, I didn't feel comfortable with their answers and what I was paying for. From day one, J & F has exceeded my expectations with their level of customer service, taking the time to explain to me what has gone wrong, what needs to be repaired asap and what can wait. I am a fanatic when it comes to my car and they understand that. They are what an automotive repair shop should strive to model themselves after.

I can't say enough positive things about Ty Nguyen's Arlington Auto Shop. I lucked into it about eight years when I was again hit while parking on DC streets. Ty offers personal, reliable service with free estimates. Work is reasonably priced, done on time and is guaranteed. I have recommended his shop to several of my friends and they were equally pleased. My car is ten years old and looks new as Ty uses excellent products and does paint matching that restores my car to its original look. Try this shop once and you will be back.
