I went to the Citgo mechanic for a vehicle inspection so that I could register my car in MD. My first impression was very good - the staff were friendly, got me in quickly, and gave me an estimate for repairs (a new tie rod and malfunctioning blinker) that seemed reasonable for the area. After having the repairs done, however, I learned several things that led to additional work (at another mechanic) and more money out of my pocket. I cannot recommend this business to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic. Though the mechanic fixed my blinker (the relay was off, causing it to blink rapidly), it started malfunctioning again the next day. I had to go back so he could fix it again. Annoying, yes, but not a huge deal. My greatest concern had to do with the tie rod. After leaving the mechanic, I noticed that my steering wheel was crooked (when driving straight, the steering wheel was actually turned 45 degrees to the left). My tires would also squeal when making turns. When I called the mechanic to talk to him about the problem, he told me that he could not fix it. He said my car would need an alignment, and that he could not do that for me. This confused me, as an alignment was supposed to be one of the things checked on a vehicle inspection, and the mechanic had, in fact, indicated that my vehicle passed the alignment check. Moreover, it is common practice to do an alignment anytime a tie rod is replaced to make sure the wheels are straight (failing to do so can cause the car to pull to one side when driving and affect the angle of your tires, which leads to poor gas mileage and uneven wear on the treads). After prodding him further, it came to light that the mechanic actually did not have the equipment needed to do alignments. He did not tell me this at any point during the initial inspection or when making repairs. My husband and I are new to the area and we were looking for a new mechanic. Unfortunately, we needed to find one sooner rather than later when my car wouldn't start one morning. My husband called Antietam Auto because its .6 miles from our house. They gave us the number to a great tow company that they usually work with and I had my car towed there within the next day. By the end of the day, Justin had diagnosed that I needed a new starter and had ordered it right away. He had my car fixed and ready to go by 10am the next day! I was blown away by how fast he fixed my car and by the low price he charged me compared to other mechanics I have gone to. He even did a complementary 27 point inspection of my car which I thought was a very nice touch. I am BEYOND thrilled with my experience with Justin!! When we lived in the Beltsville area Lloyd's Automotive was the only place for years we trusted for our vehicles. The owner of Lloyd's is fair and honest. I have not found such a personal and trustworthy mechanic since we have moved out of the area. So if your looking for a good honest place to take your vehicles I highly recommend Lloyd's Automotive.

We have been using this company for years to service our trucks. The service has completely died. The owners are too old and too slow, they cannot produce estimates for weeks on end. They do not produce bills upon request, and during the wait time, they charge you storage fees upon work that isn't completed. Mark is a complete jerk, he treats customers as if they are dogs. I recommend bringing your business elsewhere. i for one will never return, and my fleet of 8 trucks will be serviced elsewhere.

I have been taking my vehicles to dog and garage for close to 30 years as of about 7 months ago they are under new ownership but the service is still just as great as ever. The new owner Ryan picked me up and we went up to the beltway to get my truck that had been wrecked He charged me a fraction of the price of the tow truck bandits that had been called by the police. Even helped get the truck into a tricky position since I have a driveway with a sharp curve and drop offs have to be watched out for. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment.
