Huge thank you to this shop for taking car of my wife and our 3 little boys (age 5 and under). They broke down near Big Rapids while driving home from vacation, 1 hour away from home, at 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon. This shop graciously took care of my family, and got our van all fixed before they closed at 5:30pm. Breaking down while on vacation is the worst, but I was sure happy that my family was well taken of while in a difficult spot. Thanks!

I've been going to this Tuffy for years. They have always been honest and try to help me any way they can. All of my family has their cars repaired here. They have great part quality and awesome prices. Most recently I slid into a ditch with my vehicle and my radiator was cracked, I thought I wouldn't have my car for awhile. I have used Butch's for 11 years. I recommended a close friend to go here and it was a TERRIBLE experience. They were conniving and sneaky and tried to scam her of money. They got verbal agreement on a estimate and then tried to keep tacking on more money that was needed from her when the originally estimate included 3 items. She paid $800 for 3 items and walked away with only 1 being fixed. They also did not communicate effectively and she kept having to call them for updates daily. They are were not wearing masks despite serving the general public. They officially lost my business after all these years.

I purchased a Pontiac 400 (WZ) engine from AutoBohn Engines of Lowell, Michigan. When the engine arrived (I live in New York) I installed it in My 67 Firebird and had the car towed to a local shop to have them prime And start the engine for the first time. Before starting the engine the shop while pressurizing the cylinders discovered that coolant was bubbling out of the radiator (the heads were leaking). That's when the repair bills started adding up. The heads had to be removed! During the process of removing the heads the mechanic at the shop called me to say that he noticed I had shimmed the pulleys because they were not lining up. He was curious so he removed the fuel pump and looked inside the timing chain cover (flashlight) And discovered that the timing chain was incorrectly installed and had one row completely off the timing gear. Now of course it was necessary To remove the Timing case cover. During this time I spoke with Autobohn Engines and was told to callback when the repairs were completed to discuss compensation. Unfortunately after repeated calls over several weeks the only thing I can reach at AutoBohn Engines is the answering machine and all my messages have gone Unanswered.
