Engine repair service near Grain Valley, MO

These people replaced my daughters engine total cost $1400.00. A week later we had to take it back because of a bad oil leak. It was the main rear seal. $20 part but $350 in labor because they had to drop the engine again. I asked why they wouldn't automatically replace a $20 seal in a 2002 engine while the engine was dropped and their response was well it's under warranty so you can file a claim with the person you bought the engine from to get reimbursed. So I did and guess what?? Claim denied because they said replacing the main rear seal when replacing an engine is considered routine maintenance and should've been checked and replaced at the time of the engine replacement.

We were on vacation to visit by brother in KC over the Labor Day weekend. As we began our trek back to Minnesota we determined our wheel bearing was obliterated. We had to contact our insurance company for roadside assistance. No one was open on the holiday so we decided to take a chance with Bert. We dropped our vehicle there and left our keys in the drop box. Bert called the next day and said he'd have us up and running between 1-2pm. He called us shortly after noon stating he was done early. The work was excellent and the cost was very fair. You can trust bert with your automotive needs. If I lived in the area he would definitely become my go-to guy. Thanks Bert!!!! If you like your car, DO NOT TAKE IT HERE, the price is cheap but your car will most likely be damaged from the shoddy workmanship. If you complain about the gouges on the trim on the inside of the windshield posts, or the scratch on the paint, or the fact that there is now a gap on the top edge of the windshield trim, be prepared to listen to how you put them there and they didn't. They will tell you that it is an old car and those gouges in your windshield trim is old damage that was already there. Fortunately I went next door to PickNPull and was able to buy matching trim from another car that was in excellent condition. I was lucky, you may not be, I will also have to get some trim sealer to seal the trim on the top of the windshield so water doesn't get down under the windshield and rust out the metal underneath. The workmanship is very shoddy.
