I'm a veteran and Holdman's Transmission worked on my 2009 GMC Yukon in late February 2019 to rebuild my transmission. I spent around $3,500 which was $1900 cheaper than the dealership. HOWEVER, to my dismay after SEVEN ATTEMPTS they still could not get my transmission working properly. I was in constant contact with Joe the entire time, he agreed there was an issue that he couldn't quite fix but he would keep trying. He offers a 12-month guarantee, but no money back. Under the circumstances (seven attempts) I hoped, that he could make an exception to the rule. Joe still stated that there were no refunds, but if I like I could bring it back for the 8th time, he would be willing to TRY AGAIN... I hesitated to write this review, thinking we could have come to an agreement of sorts, or he could've taken our SUV to ANYWHERE to get to fixed properly and this incident was just a "hiccup". However, his refusal to correct the issue other than bringing it back for the 8th time -not to mention my family also being without a vehicle for around an entire week each time to get it "fixed" is UNACCEPTABLE. If you have a car, perhaps he does good work. When it comes to SUVs, just go to the dealership!!

Did not provide a written estimate, required cash payment of $700 up front before starting work, did not have the proper tools to do the job, did not have the car ready on promised date, damaged hood release. Oral estimate of $1200 increased to a final bill of $1820. Stay away from this one.
