Mike and Ernie, the guys that run the Matthews Midas are fair, knowledgable and trustworthy guys. I have been going to their shop for about a year now and they have been great to me since day one. The will not charge you for things you don't need, they will shop for a good deal for your vehicle in the case of finding tires and if they can't fix your car or can't find the problem, they won't charge you for their time. I found them by reading reviews like these, and my experience has been just as good as every review I've read about them. They are good guys, great mechanics and I'm happy to give them a great review.

Great to do business with. I have developed a great relationship with them for both my cars. My 2011 Ford F-150 was having a timing issue and spark knocking terribly. I took the car to the Ford dealership and they told me the spark plugs needed to be replaced at 80K miles. I agreed and paid them $600 to do it. As soon as I drove off the knocking started again. I took it down to Jade and he asked his Ford certifed tech to check it out and he found that the PCM module needed to be reflashed to adjust the timing and only charged me around $100. I guess if I had asked them first I would have saved $500. I will go to them first next time.

Routine maintenance done quickly.

I honestly wish I could give 10 stars. I have been a customer over the past 3years. I'm now taking a second car to them for maintenance and repairs. Everyone here is friendly and available to answer any and all questions. They don't try to sell you unnecessary work. Prices are fair too. Who could ask for anything more? Had several small punctures in my tire. They were able to replace my tire same day.

I recently had our car's muffler upfitted due to the fact that the dealership told us that present muffler's intake was not allowing enough exhaust to pass through. This Meineke shop charged me $650. to update the muffler. I have had since then trouble with the muffler now vibrating and making a clunking noise and brought it to Midas muffler to check out. Midas says that Meineke installed too long a pipe causing the noise. Midas also said they could have replaced with a brand new muffler for less than $650.? Midas only charged me $45.00 to shorten the pipe where it needed to be as well as repair a dangling cadalytic converter heat shield. Meineke not only ripped me off, they did not install the muffler correctly! This review is not meant for all Meineke Muffler shops, just the one located 6447-A East Independence Blvd.!

This service center used to be one that you could depend on having dependable repairs for a moderate cost, NOT ANY MORE! The owner has gotten extremely greedy with mark up of parts and his labor prices! I recently had a vehicle in their shop for a water pump replacement. After getting a fairly reasonable estimate, and oking the work, once they start they call with excuses they had ordered the wrong pump, new pump will be $45 more. Not much you can do once they started the work, but if that wasn't bad enough, they then decide to tell you that the serpentine belt needs replacing too, which still is no big deal till they charge $95 for a belt that you can buy at NAPA for $24 retail or another auto parts store for $19. Considering they get their parts at wholesale prices which should be at least 30% discount they profit almost 500%on markup of a belt that jumped in value from $17.50 wholesale to $95, and then they try to convince you that it is a good deal because they didn't charge labor when they had to take off and reinstall belt anyway for water pump replacement! The owner has turned greedy, money hungry, and price gouges. A water pump and belt replacement should never cost over $300 yet this repair was almost double that! I had been a customer for over 10 years, but I will not be back to be robbed by these crooks again! A word of advice , take your repairs to a shop that doesn't price gouge their customers!

The worst experience of my life. The company kept charging me diagnostic fees for the same problem that never got fix. I would not recommend coming here ever again
