Mufflers repair service near Brookdale, NJ

Went there for state inspection. They told me that my car needs front break pads. I was surprised because day before I went to my dealer for oil change and state inspection, which they could not do because of their broken machine and they did mention that my car needed break pads after courtesy meticulous inspection. Dealer’s multipoint inspection sheet indicated that my break pads are less than half way through. I guess it is dealer’s word against Midas’s word. But I’m sure dealer would not pass on this job if my car needed pads and release me in unsafe vehicle. Not wanting to pay for failed state inspection, I went with replacement. Midas charged me $99.99 for Centric ceramic front pads only! + $106 for labor. I think I got the DEAL OF a LIFETIME here as such break pads cost no more than $30 all over the internet. I still could have done good mileage on these break pads. Rip off and scam. Will not go there again!

I am fairly new to New York. You hear often the stereotypes of a dog-eat-dog world. So looking for a mechanic, and honesty, is not an easy task. However, I was in a jam and needed to find one. He was very friendly and assuring when I told him about the problems with my Durango. I had AAA tow the car to their workshop in Yonkers. These guys are professional, efficient, and you get your car back within the time frame that is estimated. Overall, I highly recommend this workshop, they are a great team. They will take care of your problems and put you at ease. Cars are expensive toys, what you hope to get is a decent repair job at a fair price. These guys provide both, you'll be in good hands. Dee Knight is the definition of excellent customer service, and his personable crew of employees are the direct opposite of the duplicitious car mechanic stereotype. I pulled in for a NY state auto inspection around 5:30 pm. Despite looking very busy I was accommodated in a few minutes They provided the inspection quickly and efficiently. Everyone was very courteous, the task was finished then I was on my way. I would recommend this shop to anyone and will return when I be require service or repair in the future.
