I brought my SUV in for servicing and with a questionable tire issue and even though Ken and his staff were very busy dealing with many customers, I received excellent customer service which is very important to me. Ken is honest, nice and will go the extra mile to keep his customers happy. I wouldn't hesitate to bring my vehicle back to him and recommend him highly.

AAMCO Transmission

Hi everyone, I do humbly urge each and everyone not to go to AAMCO TRANSMISSION located at 950 Frelinghuysen Avenue, Newark, NJ 07114. They just reap people off. The loose ur transmission and tell u whatever they want u to hear. For instance, the Torque converter that cost less that $200 for my car they said is $1600, and lots of other parts they listed. At the end of the day, u end up paying them more than the cost of a new transmission from the dealer. For average cars, they make u spend roughly $4,000 just for rebuilding ur transmission, and give u a 1 year warranty or 12,000 miles which ever comes first. After one of these, the same problem again started developing. My case is less than a year even. When I came back, they said I have to pay for the parts and they will take care of the labor. I look at the good Samaritans that pay for a shop and workers and yet work for free. While I was there, I saw many people coming in, yelling for the reap off. One even called a cop to take a statement on what has happened between him and AAMCO. I advice all not to visit here. Thanks

TERRIBLE SERVICE! It took 12 days to have my transmission replaced. Every person I talked to gave me the same exact excuse..."I've only been working here a few days". They must turn over the staff once a week. Also, BEWARE: they don't do the work on premises. They kept feeding me excuses that they sent out the transmission and they had no control when it was delivered back, etc, etc. The final straw was when they GUARANTEED I would have my car back on a Tuesday. I took off work for the day and arranged for a ride to get my car (was told it would be ready around 2-2:30). I received a call at noon to tell me it would be another day! The consolation...they invited me to come down and "look" at my transmission if I wanted to. Finally, I was called at 4pm the next day and left a message that my car was ready BUT they were closing the shop early and if I wanted my car I had to be there before 5pm (30 minutes prior to advertised closing time). They also would not let me use the coupon I obtained from the website and informed them I would be using prior to service starting. This place is unprofessional, slow, and rude. And they cost the same as a dealer. Save yourself a hassle and go somewhere else. AND, don’t believe Craig when he tells you what day your car will be ready. 12 days for a repair is ridiculous. ***Addendum*** a few days later I notice a sticker in my car from Haldeman Nissan on Rt 33. I then received an email from Haldeman thanking me for my service. I was not happy with Haldeman in the past and was purposely avoiding them. AAMCO not only sent my transmission to Haldeman without telling me BUT ALSO GAVE THEM MY EMAIL ADDRESS. WTF!?!?
