Transmission repair service near Westwood, NJ

We have a 2011 Nissan that was acting funny. It wasnt shifting smoothly. We took it to a couple of local places but they told us that a dealer would be best because they had equipment to diagnose later model cars that were only available to dealers. I was really hesitant. We were new to the area and always stayed away from dealers because they usually charge more. We looked on line and found a local dealer, Baron Nissan, that had good reviews. None of those reviews were for service but what we could find said really good things about their sales department so we had the car towed there and crossed our fingers. We met Frank the service manager who was very nice. He asked what the car was doing and we told him/. We left it there overnight and he said he would call us the next day. He called about 11am on Friday and said the car was done. A little surpised that it was done so quickly I asked if they had found the problem. He said it was just a control module that had to be reset, no big deal. The way the other mechanics had made it sound we were braced for a huge repair bill. When we went to pick it up they told us that they had checked and our car was still under the Nissan powertrain warranty ( which we had no idea about) and the bill was nothing, no money at all. They told us they checked the car and we needed front brakes and an oil change ( which I knew). They gave me a fair price and we had them do the work. Frank didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need or want and they did the brakes and oil change while we waited. Has a chance to talk to Frank while we waited, he was just a nice guy who welcomed us to the neighborhood. We have bought a lot of cars in our life, definately not my first rodeo and I never,ever went back to a dealer for service as a rule they are too busy, pushy and over priced. I gotta say Frank at Baron Nissan is the exception. We are so glad we found them

Honest!!!! We had a simple problem that could have been worse. Fixed while we waited and charged a minimal fee. Will only use this facility, very happy!

Recently I bought a Acura Mdx and from day one it had a pull. I took to dealer many times, and didn't realize they sub the job out to Mavis next door to them. Once I realized I ran right to my old faithful. Rices automotive. The car was perfect after that...thank God for them.

15 years go I found Sonny's shop in Nassau with a parking lot full of Porsches. I was very glad to find such an honest and dependable mechanic, especially since servicing these cars is usually expensive. He has always done the right thing for me, and is reasonably priced considering his skill level and the cars he works on. I went away for a few years to go to school, get married, and have kids, and was very pleased to see him still in business! He's got my car right now, and I'm excited to get it back once he gets it straight again. I would trust him with anything that moves.

I moved into the area recently and am looking for a local shop whom I can trust and not worry about being taken for a "ride", I am happy to say that I found one in Carracino's. Family owned/operated business, very friendly people makes you feel at home, they don't try to push stuff on you will give the recommended work, good pricing, will drop and pick you up if you live close by which I think is really nice of them. In Last week, the Right Axle of my Honda Accord Broke, it was Friday Noon. I called Freddy and tell him what happed, and I ask if I will drop the car to get fix, which I did. they got the car and worked on it in Saturday their closing day. they replace the both Axle because the left one was damaged also with very very reasonable price. I made my payment over the phone, and pick up my car in same day. its really a great service, very helpful, and very friendly team. It's not my first experience with Freddy, but this time they really exceeded my expectation. thank you Freddy and big thanks to your Lady in charge and to the whole team. I really recommand Freddy services to anyone who looks for great service with reasonable price.

I had my transmission rebuilt at A Connecticut Quality Transmission. It was poorly done and owner does not honor warranty. I do not recommend doing any kind of business with them. Stay clear. Beware. 1 star rating is to high. The site makes you rate at least 1 star.
