I brought my car here after taking it to another shop to fix the broken heater. The other shop quoted me $1,200. I thought that was outrageous, so I brought it to American Auto Air. They fixed the problem and charged me $700 less then the other place quoted. These guys seem honest and reasonable.

This company was dishonest about the repairs we agreed upon. They overcharge for parts considerably and they did not fix the problem I brought the truck in for. They told me that they would warranty a sensor that had allready failed once then the refused to replace it instead blaming it on another issue. My previous service adviser had told me that they have had several issues with that particular brand of sensor and that they would swap it with another brand. My new service adviser refused to do that instead blaming it on a related but separate issue. Additionally on there post inspection check list the stated the they preformed several items yet none of the were actually done. This is not the first time I have had issues with this shop. I had to get my catalytic converters replaced and upon receiving the vehicle there were missing bolts. After spending well over a $1000 you would think that they could pay attention to such a detail however I had to bring the vehicle back to get a bolt replaced additionally I noticed that One of the bolts was in not very good condition and for all the money I spent I asked them to replace it and they refused to replace it. I don't really trust or get a good feeling from this shop and I don't believe in the quality of their work given what I have had to go through and the premium price you pay for their work.

You guys really thought you would get me to pay $2794.12 to replace my A/C. I took it to another mechanic in town and they replaced it for $1052.80. I showed them your estimate and they confirmed my suspicion that your pricing is total BS. It works perfectly fine now.

Took my car to john as water pump and thermostat went out, (these are parts that are driven by the timing belt) John just replaced the water pump and thermostat, failed to change the timing belts as (he should of known being a mechanic that any timing belt driven part when goes out you MUST replace the timing belt too with fresh new one) several days later, timing belt snapped, cause all major probs, took it to another mechanic for second opinion, to find out i need a new engine, at $3640 later, due to johns negligence tried to go back to him and tell him, he acted like he didn't understand me with his foreign accent, acted like we had a communication breakdown, also my mechanic who replaced the engine noticed that several parts that john supposedly replaced were used parts, john charged me for new parts yet later discovered they were actually used dirty parts. John charged me for new one and I got a used one. My type of car you can't just buy a Waterpump on its own it comes with the full timing belt kit as a package. This is the reason why my belts weren't changed and caused to break on me and caused serious damage to my Engine due to johns negligence by being cheap and charging me for new parts. This guy breaches the "Lemon Law" Be Careful!
