Engine repair service near Broad Channel, NY

This is not simply a service and gas station - Joe is a community member. When I buy gas in another town, I feel like I'm cheating ! I usually wouldnt even take the time to write a review but the audacity of this moron manager got me inspired. Basically, my power steering pump had a slow leak and was almost empty when my truck started making a horrific squeel coming down route 1 when i saw this sears car center. I stopped in distressed about my situation and asked the manager if they sold power steering fluid and told him about my predicament. He replied by telling me they did not and he couldnt help me. All he could do was take advantage of my problem and offer a song and a dance for a $55 service to get some power steering fluid. So I went to Pepboys and bought my own for $7. Its a shame to have to experience how someone will take advantage of you when your down. Needless to say, Ill never go there again or recommend anyone else do.

Stay away. Horrible service. Tried to charge me $90.00 for an oil change using my oil and filter that I already purchased, while every other STS in the area only charged me $20.00. Also tried to overcharge me for labor on a previous occasion. A few months ago I had gotten a flat tire and I drove into this shop at about 5 minutes before they were closing, and they refused to help me just said I was out of luck because they were about to close. Worst STS I have ever been to and will never go back.

I absolutely love JC. They've provided consistent, reliable service for my car since I moved to the area. They have saved me tons of money- typically in situations where my dealership tries to upsell an unnecessary service not warranty covered. Recently, they looked at a used dealer car I was interested in buying- and found a few potentially costly issues with the vehicle, that were then taken care of by the dealer. They wouldn't take a cent from me for their time. Don't hesitate to use this wonderful, family run auto service.
