Hyundai service near Cambridge, NY

Just wanted to share my quick story...I was traveling from home (Rutland, Vt) to my friend's house in Niskayuna, NY on Friday, August 8th. When I was 1 hour and ten minutes into my trip my car started to feel like there was some hesitation. Then I could smell that terrible rubber smell and I was like "seriously"? I pulled over at the Fire station just to check things out. Now I only checked the driver's side tire because of an incident that happened long ago with the caliper sticking. But nothing. So I continue on down the road and things aren't getting any better. I just happened to see a garage on my left with the doors open. I had driven by it and had gotten to my first light and suddenly I was up in smoke....Front passenger side. I pull over and I'm in panic mode. I have no one with me except my little dog and friends and family are an hour or so away. Now I am really anxious and panicky. I turn around and go back to this garage " Combs Automotive" . As soon as I walk in, I explain my story and I apologize that it is now 5 pm on a Friday and most people would be closing up shop to enjoy the weekend. But not Krissy and Chris. They took the time out to help me and "Big Red" (what I call my car) so that I would be able to continue my trip. Now I could have turned around and gone home but it was a pretty special weekend for me and a couple college girlfriends. So it was important for me to continue on. Chris did what he could at the time to get my car in working order and I was so grateful. Krissy kept me and my dog company in the nice cool office. After almost an hour, I was on my way and told them I would check in on Monday to see if they could fit me in to their schedule to replace the parts that had to be fixed completely. On Monday, I was told to come in around 3:30 pm. Given my OCD (lol) , I left Niskayuna at 2:15 pm so that I could get to Gansevoort early just in case parts had to be ordered. I rolled into Combs Automotive at 3 pm and I was on my way home at 4 pm. I know I said this was a quick story, but boasting about a great business should never be a quick story. I wanted to let all my friends know and Krissy and Chris to know that I appreciated the wonderful service I received and that you two are the friendliest people I have ever met in the auto repair service. I would recommend anyone in the area to choose your shop for service and to anyone who finds themselves in a pickle~ like me~ to stop and see you. Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. They are great people to bring your car to. They are fair and honest and will help you out with a used tire if your short. They have done tires, brakes, and one minor repair on my car and I have had nothing but positive experiences.

Can't say enough about George's Collision. George took good care of me, he worked with the insurance adjusters estimate which was $900.00 lower than his estimate. Peter kept me informed and had my car ready when promised. Darius who works in the shop had my car sparkling when I picked it up. They take great pride in their work and it shows, they did an excellent job on the bumper and the paint job on the door. I would highly recommend them.

As a single woman with very little knowledge of automobiles and how they work or what they need, I would like to publicly praise the small car repair business of C & J Auto at 310 Corinth Rd. In West Glens Falls. John, Shaun and...have consistently helped me with my two vehicles (one 30 plus years old). They have done remarkable work at very reasonable cost and once at no cost to me at all, saving me hundreds of dollars! Here’s the rest of the story. I had an older model Camry which I had a nearby repair shop service. I returned there with power steering problems and after their analysis was told it would cost close to $800 to repair. In desperation I turned to C&J for a second opinion. Shaun put it on the lift and thoroughly greased whatever part was performing badly and sent me on my way at no cost with the hope that it would remedy the situation. Well I never had another issue with it saving me hundreds! My 30 plus old convertible had an electrical draw somewhere causing the battery to continually go dead. I resorted to disconnecting one battery terminal when the car wasn’t being driven to keep from having to jump it every time I needed to move it. I didn’t drive it all summer because I was told it needed at least $2000. Worth of work before it could pass inspection and the electrical draw source was hard to pinpoint. Back to C&J. I told the guys at C&J that the windshield wipers were not working and the blades needed replacing. On their further examination they found that something in the wiper motor had seized causing the draw on the battery. John called every auto part dealer up and down the east coast even into Texas searching for a new wiper motor to no avail. Did they give up? No! They took the existing wiper motor apart and replaced faulty plastic parts with better metal ones! Again at very reasonable cost to me. Will I ever go to C&J again as a second opinion? No way! From now on they will always be my FIRST
