My vehicle was towed to Scruggs. They do not work on Friday, Saturday or Sunday so it’s sad there for over five days when they finally were able to look at it. They charged over $2300 for a water pump replacement and one headlight two license plate lamps. It then died a few days later. My regular mechanic said he could see the fire going inside the vehicle due to the alternator not being tightened enough from repairs done at Scruggs. Now I am out an additional $650. Do not recommend.

We got stranded on the NYS Thruway when our transmission went out. Being from out of state, we were worried about an unscrupulous mechanic taking advantage of our situation. A local police officer recommended We Care Auto in Derby, NY, because they are a trustworthy "old school" family business. We had the car towed directed to We Care Auto, where the professionals put us at ease and calmed our anxiety. The mechanic diagnosed and researched the problem and found the repair was covered under our car's power train warranty. He handled everything for us, kept us updated on progress, and the car was repaired back to top notch condition. They quoted my husband $13-1400 for a clutch job and upon research of over seven different places, every last one of those mechanics told us we were being ripped off!!!! Obviously we took it somewhere else where we are getting the same work for literally HALF the price!! While this is an expensive job, no one should be allowed to financially rape you. I have written complaints about this to BBB and even state legislatures to think about putting restriction laws on garages and what they charge. This is often a huge scam and even worse for women!!!!!

Watch out Ladies!!!! This place CHEATS women. They tell you things that are wrong with the car (that are really minor issues) but they tell you you need expensive overpriced repairs to try to get money out of you. A bunch of punks trying to be big shots in the car repair business.
