Auto inspection service near New City, NY

I had quite a bit of work done here over the last year, despite the relatively high prices. Bruce was very communicative about what they found and the work that they were doing, and that initially gave me a good impression. But with my most recent experience I am no longer a fan. When I had my car inspected last August they told me that I needed a new wheel bearing, which I had them replace along with quite a few other maintenance services for a $1000 bill. The wheel bearing failed earlier this year, which they replaced under warranty -- still a fan. Last week, that same bearing failed again when I was on the road a couple of hours away, and they were not receptive to discussing a warranty repair unless I had the car towed back to the shop. The new mechanic told me he didn't know how the bearing could have been replace properly in the past since there was an old bolt that was seized and clearly not removed, which suggests to me that I had two good bearings replaced with bad practices. Exactly the thing that I do not want from my mechanic. I am very disappointed with this treatment (and out another $400-500), and would not recommend this shop based on this experience.

Friendly expert service and fair pricing. It doesn't get any better than that. I have always had repairs done in a timely manner. Great guys to deal with.

My sister had new tires installed yesterday 12/14. She picked up the car today 12/15 and on the way home her left front wheel flew off. We called the police so they could see what happened. Apparently those morons forgot to tighten the lug nuts. Obviously there's damage to the car. The brake rotor , fender, wheel studs etc. I've know this idiot for a long time. Trust me when I tell you the excuses are going to fly. He never owns up to anything and it's always someone else's fault. If you still go there after you read this it's your own fault.

Had an issue with my x3 not starting. The problem was handled very promptly... Very friendly... Great service... Will go back if needed... Recommended to any BMW owners. Todd Wetsell

I moved to NJ after living in WI for 34 years leaving behind my go-to mechanic (since I was legal on the road) that I could trust with any car/truck problem. It took about 3+ years to find a guy like John and the group of guys that I can trust at Car Kings. It's convenient that I work in Clifton so he is a few minutes away. I have been there about a 1/2 dozen times and he always finds a way to sneak me in. Work always get's done in a timely and professional manner. Just watch out for Teddy the office dog! ;)

The first-time visit on a Saturday and they treated me like a long-time customer. Very professional and they all know what they are doing. Fair pricing and fast service. A rarity especially in Hunts Point. My mechanic retired after 25 years with him and I've been looking for a place I can trust to take my car for anything I may need. I hope I found the place. crooks with smiles,car looks good & runs for couple days then the truth comes out & defects,6 months down the line & every minor component that needs replacing or cleaning egr valve,tune up,oil change,brake pads,rotor,air filter,transmission flush,power steering o ring & flush)were done by me & tried to get them to help no go.now the transmission is defective,car wont move & these crooks laugh in my face & say take him to small claims court.Dont waste your hard earned money to help the robbbers!owner will tell you like he did me the paperwork is no good!
