Rich and his team are highly professional! I Had him do a safety check over my entire vehicle before a road trip. He gave me a thorough list of my vehicles issues and never pressured me into doing any work. We worked through what was important to keep the car going and what could wait for a later date. He has a very clean shop filled with friendly faces that remembered me by name after only meeting once, and most importantly gave a speedy repair that was affordable to keep a young college student on the road! My car broke down in a parking lot about 2.5 miles from their location, called up in the morning, dropped off the keys, and that was it, about 3 hours later Dave called to let me know my starter needed to be replaced. The cost incl. having to tow the vehicle was inline with what I was anticipating. They also let me know about a couple of other issues I needed to take care of, and since they already had the vehicle and had earned my trust, I had them take care of everything. I'll definitely be going back...

I have been bringing my cars to Oakwood Car Care for as long as they have been open. I have always been treated professionally and with care. Joe , the owner is always both personable and helpful. Mike, the manager is friendly, efficient, caring, knowledgeably, and ever so helpful. He oversees the work and you almost never have to come back after a repair. If you're tired of getting robbed for your automotive needs or getting less than you paid for - then this is the place for you. Lance and his small team of mechanics, while all being quite young - are the real-deal - they have turned their personal passions for Subaru (all models & generations) - in to a business - making them a real specialty shop for virtually all your Subaru Auto needs. Don't get me wrong, they are not a 1-trick pony though - they service virtually all makes and models... I've recently had them address various items on my '15 WRX, including the subject Clutch & Flywheel Upgrade, perform an EGR delete, swap plugs, weld/repair a broken exhaust flange plate (which I thought for sure was unfixable without a new plate - Warren is a talented Genius welder) & Tim is a talented Dyno Tuner, (thanks to dyno time at Chameleon Racing in Bohemia). The entire team at Larsen's are super friendly, happy to share educated advice, sharp at finding issues and remedying them - all without charging an arm and a leg. Super flexible too - one of the best experiences I've had with an auto shop in my life - I currently travel over 35miles just to get my car worked on by them... The address listed is outdated: they are located at 26 Potter Ave, Patchogue, NY. This shop has terrific mechanics, fair prices, and they stand by their work. We have been bringing our cars there for 20 years. They complete the work quickly and are absolutely trustworthy.

Excellent shop! I was having electrical issues with my 1996 Jeep and it proved very tricky to diagnose. The folks here were able to figure it out, fix the problems and do it for a very reasonable price! I have already recommended them to a few friends. If and when I need a mechanic again, I'll be back.

They did not come through. I do believe that a failed ignition cylinder can be fixed but apparently he did not want to devote the time to fix it. It took me 8 days to realize that he was not giving my car the service that it needed. I initially tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. But after having to initiate all the calls to his shop and losing confidence, I realized that he was not going to do the job. I ended up towing my car from his shop with no apology from him or no effort to meet me half way with the towing. The address is actually 109 route 112.
