Engine repair service near Kent, OH

We have used this mechanic shop a few times now. The mechanic is very honest and does great work. One vehicle we brought in, and he was unable to absolutely diagnose the problem or if the work he did would fix it, so he told us that straight up and discounted the charge for the diagnosis of the vehicle because he felt he had not properly served us. It was because of his honesty on that occasion that we returned to him.

This service was incredible! The mechanic was timely, knowledgeable, and professional. I had my oil changed and break pads/rotors replaced without leaving my house... and for cheaper than your standard shops. My favorite part? I wasn't being upsold on air filters and fluids! Paid $460 some dollars to have my coolant system checked and "fixed". Drove 5 miles down the road only to have antifreeze spewing out all over. Bought more antifreeze and filled and drive my car to another care repair shop. Paid to have the thermostat housing replaced and MORE antifreeze put in. 3 weeks ago Jimyz's agreed to refund the cost of antifreeze and a pressure check. Called 3 times since the only to be told "the check is in the mail". May need an attorney for this one as I am on a fixed income and this whole experience has been a nightmare!

Excellent service! My check engine light came on, Oreilles and the dealer told me it was my oil pressure switch. The dealer said they would need it for 3-4 days. Shaw's was able to have my jeep done the very next day. The guy at the counter was great, and the owner Steve made it a point to come talk to me. Overall I am very happy, and will be back for all my future needs!

This place is a total rip off. They’re not honest and their prices are extremely high. They told me that the head was warped and needed a valve job. I received the head back and it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned. I’ve taken heads to Napa in cuyahoga falls and they do a much better job at a lower price. Beware of this place.
