This shop has proven to me that they are knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonably priced. I got excellent, fast, and reliable service for some recent electrical problems with my Nissan truck. I happened upon their shop by accident when I was dealing with an emergency failure of my alternator. I will return here for all future automotive work since they earned my trust.

I had appt to have IRA's muffler look at my 2004 Dodge 1500 for a quote/repair. I showed up a little earlier and Rob got me in right away. After he looked at my exhaust he said he would be able to repair the exhaust by simply welding it. The repair only took 15 mins. I appreciate the honesty and efficiency of IRA's muffler. When I do have to get new exhaust I will take it to IRA's muffler. An honest repair shop.

Why you should not go to Midas on Hwy 99. Hopefully you will read this before you step into this shop. I feel for the current manager and employee's. This business goes through a lot of managers and employees. Why, because the problem is with the owner Bruce Costello. This tired and angry man reminds me of a Scrooge who never learned the lessons from the 3 ghosts. Imagine working for this person.  "The customer is always wrong" is the motto he lives by. My story? Fact: I deposited cash to have my truck worked on at Midas on Hwy 99. Purpose of funds, Rebuild engine, electrical, etc.  Fact: The manager and employee counted, verified the funds and gave me a Midas receipt. Fact: Owner (Bruce Costello) calls cops on the manager for stealing the cash. Manager admits to stealing the cash, goes to court, etc. Now, you would think the owner would make it right?  Bruce Costello basically washed his hands of everything and told me I should be suing the manager, not Midas. This is the type of owner you are dealing with. I am happy to say after YEARS of lawyering up Bruce Costello finally had to pay up AND return my truck that he held onto. He and his lawyer were going to lose in this case "Green v. Costellos Auto Repair, LLC, et al 19-2-02714-06" so they finally settled. Bruce lost big time trying this crap. But that did not stop him from using delay after delay tactic in order to drag this out. Watch out, he will try this with you as well. Folks, run away from this place. The person that runs this business is a low life, dishonest, deceitful, lying, untruthful, insincere, swindling, and cheating owner.

If I could give them a worse rating then this I would. I received absolutely horrible customer service by the owners, of all people. I went in using a coupon I had got off of Groupon and asked for an oil change. I was a first time customer of Meineke and thought they were offering a good deal through Groupon so I'd try it out. Bad mistake. I had only asked for an oil change nothing else, as my car did not need it and I was short for time. Before I knew it the mechanic came into the lobby and told me he broke part of my wheel while getting my tire off. I was confused as to what he was talking about so he led me into the back to show me. As he was explaining that the piece broke because of who ever put the tires on last tightened them too much and I would now pay for the part he broke, it hit me.........I didn't even ask him to be doing anything with my tires. When I asked why my tires were being messed with when all I wanted was an oil change, the Female owner said to me well we always do complementary tire rotation and I'm sure you were told that. At this point I'm getting pretty irritated and let them know that I did not ask anyone to touch my tires, and I shouldn't be paying for a part that is broken by their mechanic who performed a service I did not need, or ask for. The Male owner then stated fine I will take the charge off since you're whining so much about it. I waited around for 2 hours for their mechanic to fix it and never received so much as an apology from the owner, only the statement that it's better where they moved from because people aren't like they are around here. Can you believe it?! The point of the Groupon was for them to build up their customer base, but instead they lost more customers then they know. Businesses are build on word of mouth.....

Wally has always been honest and upfront with me. I appreciate his care in providing service to me and would definitely refer others to his shop. Great service and timeliness of service.

The best experience I've ever had with a shop, hands down. I was about to cut bait on this car, after so many unresolved issues kept stacking up, but figured I'd give it one more chance with a new shop. So glad I did, because the car now runs and drives better than ever.. by a lot. Everything they did was clearly explained, plus they prioritized what needed to be done now, and what could wait. They obviously know everything about these cars, inside and out.. "Enthusiast Driven" is for real! I trust this crew 100%, which is something I never thought I'd say about a shop. Robb the owner is a great human being, highly professional and extremely honest person. He could have easily make $600 to $700 for the repair job but he was so honest that he said you don't need break job, matter of fact I went to the shop for the break job bcz other auto shop told me you need front break and the cost will be close to $400. My seat belt was giving me problem and the dealer said it will cost $300 and Robb only charged $37.95... Let me tell you Performance Discount Repair is the most honest and highly professional and very well qualified auto mechanics... Robb, you are the best, thank you so much for doing a great service to the local community and taking home honest money ... I just met you once, but your good gesture will always appreciated ... Got my 2008 Audi A-4 s-line fixed. After I bought it from coparts, had all the body work and repair done at Alpina auto, since I'm friends with the owner. Great job, only the check engine light kept coming on, and every time they scanned it, it came back with an EVAP code. Called Nazier, who was kind and patient, and I dropped off my car to see if they could figure it out. I had read so many amazing reviews online that claimed he had the best prices, and does the best work. 2 days later, got a call from Jared, who said they found the problem and ordered a part to replace the Evap hose, which was cracked. Price was $383 for part+installation. Seemed a bit pricey, and I had originally done a 3 star review, but Nazier called me and explained why it cost me that much and he really gave me the best deal he could find. Offered to give me a free oil change anytime. Nobody cares more about preserving business, keeping a sterling reputation, and maintaining customer satisfaction more than these guys do. I recommend them to anyone.

My 35 years old car's original muffler pipe welding separated. Since no original part available anymore I tried the 3 big auto parts mufflers not one fit. I went to A 1 Muffler shop on 8970 SW Barbur. A gentleman looked over the counter and said you brought me a Volvo muffler and it is a 740, and it is a wagon, and it is from 1987. Whooo!!!!! I was bloowed away. He recognized the original factory muffler with all the specification that not available for several decade. I asked if he could weld the original muffler with the original pipe back so it will fit. I know little about welding but I know enough if I see a high quality welding what he did. He just save my old car. I would gladly pay what ever it cost but he sad no charge it only took a short time and glad to help. I highly recommend this shop and it's people for their kindness, knowledge and high quality work. THANKS A MILLION. AAAAAA******.
