I first brought my car into Nick's a few years ago. Got an excellent assessment and had about 1k estimate in suggested repairs. I could not afford this at the time so I did not fix all of the suggestions. And I never came around to it, until recently last week when I sent my car back in. I was expecting the same suggestions as last time, and probably even more. Though during this latest assessment, two of the issues from last time were not found. So I'm concerned that this newer assessment was not as thorough or the mechanic was not as experienced as the last one. This is disappointing, because I was interested in getting them all fixed. Secondly, the communication was just sub-par. When I dropped off my car I was told I would probably receive a text in the next 2 hours about what repairs need to be done. Four hours later I call because I have not received anything. They say that I will be emailed very soon. Nothing for another two hours. I call and they are surprised I didn't receive the email, but then it was sent promptly. They say the repairs can be done by the end of the day or maybe first thing in the morning. The morning came around and I didn't get a call or anything. I call around noon and they are just getting to my car. I end up getting my car around 3pm. I did not expect my car to be gone for a day and a half just for a steering fluid change. I understand if things get pushed back, which is expected with staff shortages and modern issues since 2020, but I just wish the communication was better. The whole time I felt like I was given the impression that my car would be done very soon, but it was pushed back and back without me being told, I had to call and ask. Lastly, I got a text message asking how my experience went. In short I mentioned some of what I mentioned in this review, and I didn't receive any response at all. So again with the communication issues. I will say that I do trust this shop and the folks that I communicated directly with were exceptionally nice and welcoming, but there are definitely things to work on.

NOTHING was done correctly. The distributor they took 4 days to put in ended up failing. The “high performance” control module that I bought for the distributor, they promised me was in the car was NOT in the new distributor. It was kept. The distributor WASNT tightened down and you could move it by hand. The valve covers were replaced which I didn’t NOT agree to. They leaked onto the exhaust manifold AFTER I got the car back. That was one of the jobs they recommended they should fix. They just charged me for new valve covers apparently because I ended up with a lot oil on my exhaust that had to be cleaned off again. And I paid another mechanic to do all of this work after I was over charged for the labor. 1200 I paid for basically nothing to be done right and a part to not be returned to me that I was lied to about being in my engine. I won’t be bringing my car back to Arthur’s. And I didn’t not like the response of the guy at the front desk when I told him about this.

Affordable and fast.

My 2001Saab95 could not pass the smog test required for registration. I thought I would have to scrap this great machine if it would be too expensive to repair. Thanks to Nestor and the smart mechanics at Everett street the tricky problem was solved and for a Very low price; they saved the old Saab from the salvage yard. Thank you.

I am very pleased with the service at Everett Street Autoworks. I've had numerous service appointments and the price is always reasonable with no surprises. Plus my car is ready when they said it would be!

Very honorable and top rate shop. Customer has work done at E.S. Auto Works and returned home to Seattle, WA and developed a leak. The leak was not necessarily related to the transmission replacement that E.S. did (leak was from Transfer Case). But customer was adamant that the leak was not there before. Our transmission specialist confirmed that the leak was probably co-incidental and not related to the superb workmanship performed at Everett Street Auto Works. But the customer was upset, so the owner made the decision to just have us take care of her and fix it - costing E.S. Auto over $1,300! That is the sign of truly top notch shop that values their customers and their reputation.
