I am an outraged customer who took my car to Franklins to get my battery replaced. Not only was the wrong battery installed, but it was also mounted incorrectly despite obvious signs of this problem. The plastic clip on top would not even latch to close. When I got home and lifted the hood, LOOSE PARTS WERE SITTING BESIDE THE BATTERY, and the corrosion on the terminals was not cleaned. To top off this wonderful experience, the replacement inspection stickers that were placed on my car were incorrect, and I really enjoyed cleaning grease from the inside of my car. I was assured that these mistakes were not reflective of Franklin’s reputation. I admit – I may not know much about cars, but I do know that I do NOT trust Franklins with my vehicle and will not be a returning customer.

Tried to overcharge my wife for service, putting the lie to the "Service at about fair price" motto they use. Tried to charge her $350(water pump) + $200 for labor for a water pump which oem from Toyota is $165. Then when confronted they couldn't believe she had called Toyota. Then said she was 2 qts low and filled without asking with a brand of synthetic she doesn't use without consulting prior to doing so and then is trying to charge for it despite the fact she said to be notified before anything was done.

Good team of mechanics for general repairs on passenger vehicles. I've been using their services for 10+ years and never had a reason to go anywhere else. Their diagnostic and troubleshooting skills are top-notch. They do a good job communicating with their customers and have built a good clientele over the years. their prices are fair and the work completed as promised. No Saturday hours :-(

Great place Jim and Jody hooked us up on a friday while driving to a campground and our check engine light came on. Did a google search and found them. It was a o2 sensor that came up on the computer. Got replaced in a half and hour and we were on our way. 9 months later still no light and the truck gets better gas mileage. We price checked with the dealership and it was half the price than what they wanted. This garage is mechanicsburg's best keep secret. I take all of our cars there now. It was late afternoon and it was raining outside, had an important app't to get to. Live just a few blocks away and discovered my tire was almost flat. I popped my head in the door of the service station and asked them if they could put some air in my tire. This very sarcastic young man said, we are really busy, I am going to have to say no! not a good impression when I was considering taking my car there for servicing and it would have been within walking distance. You may have been busy, but how long does it take to put air in someone's tire. Luckily I made it to a place down the street and they were more than happy to help me. Learn some manners young man! It could be you some day, needing some air in your tire.

December 30, 2020, my wife and I were on our way to North Carolina to visit our daughter. About 180 miles into our trip our alternator burnt out. Because I thought the issue was a faulty battery, I called AAA for a battery service. The tech determined the alternator was the issue. She could not recommend a nearby mechanic and said we'd be hard pressed to get service given the New Years holiday. Not being from the Carlisle, PA area, we decided to conduct a Google search and found T&M Automotive was about a 1/2 mile away. Turns out they are a AAA approved shop. Go figure why the AAA tech didn't know them! We spoke with Henrik who agreed to help us out. They were amazing!!! Henrik was able to get the required part, had his tech install it, test drove it and got us back on the road 3 hours later. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. They could have easily charged us more and we would have had to pay it given our situation. If you live in the Carlisle area, I highly recommend you use T&M Automotive for your car care. Grove Motors is a fantastic place to get good mechanical work done on your car no matter what kind you have. They are always friendly and their service is great! If you ever get into a conversation with Harry, he has great stories! Anyway, this place has always been very good to me, and Dave takes great care for his emloyees and his customers!The work is always reliable and the quality is great! I find that this palce is run with character such as integity, honesty and forthrightness. These qualities are becoming more rare these days and it is a treasure to find these qualities at a garage. Dave always takes the time to show me and tell me what is wrong with my car so that I am a little better educated. He also tries hard to work around my work schedule in order for me to miss as little work as possible. I really appreciate that! I would recommend this place to everyone. I used to work in Middletown for years but now I do not but I still bring my car into Grove Motors for any and all work. And now I hear they are a AAA facility!
