Transmission repair service near Biglerville, PA

The folks at Hanover Lube and Brake have always been great no matter what the problem was with my car or my family member's cars...The girls at the desk (usually Tammy and Connie) are welcoming and very helpful in arranging times to bring my car(s) in for service...They are also very knowledgeable about car repairs in general...Dean has always been very kind and generous (not just with me and my family) with anyone who comes into the shop...I highly recommend Hanover Lube and Brake for all of your car care needs !

Was able to get in same day. Very friendly staff. Went to Ranglin’s after calling around and being told I would have to wait at least a week to get my car in. Got a appointment next day and was able to get I pick up car using there after hours lock box. Also price was very reasonable. Will definitely be coming back for my future car service needs.

I have been taking my cars and trucks to Larry Miller's shop for over 30 years. He is very talented and gives the best work for the lowest price anywhere Ive seen. I give him my highest recommendation as he has treated me fairly every time over all these years. He has built hot rods for me, worked on my trucks and on the cars for my kids and wife. If there ever was a shop like the one in Mayberry RFD this is it!!!!

Have had to go there alot recently to get my cars fixed. They are always helpful, good prices and do a fantastic job. Friendly and they go out of their way! Tough to find in any business these days. I would not hesitate at ALL to recommend them.

My experiences with Hippensteel Auto is 100% satisfied! The noise in my engine was immediately addressed and fixed the dsy it happened. They had me park the car, picked it up and took it to the station. I received a call at the end of the day that the part had been replaced and the car was ready for pick up! December 30, 2020, my wife and I were on our way to North Carolina to visit our daughter. About 180 miles into our trip our alternator burnt out. Because I thought the issue was a faulty battery, I called AAA for a battery service. The tech determined the alternator was the issue. She could not recommend a nearby mechanic and said we'd be hard pressed to get service given the New Years holiday. Not being from the Carlisle, PA area, we decided to conduct a Google search and found T&M Automotive was about a 1/2 mile away. Turns out they are a AAA approved shop. Go figure why the AAA tech didn't know them! We spoke with Henrik who agreed to help us out. They were amazing!!! Henrik was able to get the required part, had his tech install it, test drove it and got us back on the road 3 hours later. The price was very reasonable and the service was excellent. They could have easily charged us more and we would have had to pay it given our situation. If you live in the Carlisle area, I highly recommend you use T&M Automotive for your car care. 01 chevy truck lost overdrive. Quoted $1000. Didnt hear anything for 2 weeks, then says its done and it cost $2800! No warning or chance to make that decision what so ever. Reluctantly paid and left with a lousy 6 month warranty. 7 months later trans goes out an hr from home. He says "welp, warranty's out". Says part broke not his problem. Tried to say it was the way i drive? This as a work truck.

Listen consumers. I too had a horrible experience with John. He is definitely a crook. I actually wrote a good review above and I wish I could take it back down!!! BIG MISTAKE for taking my sons 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 to this place. He did originally fix my problem last April 2014 but then the truck failed again in August 2014. When I took it back under warranty John said the transmission was fine and the problem was the transfer case this time. Here's where things really go bad. I surprised John one day by showing up at his shop to see the transfer case for myself. To my surprise the transfer case wasn't being worked on, the transmission was in pieces. When I asked him why the transmission was taken apart he said he just wanted to make sure everything was fine. Not being a mechanic myself I believed him. BUT, I was still very skeptical so I took a picture of the serial number plate on my transfer case and left. A couple days later I get a call from John saying the truck is done and he put a remanufactured transfer case in the truck. Not trusting him I crawed under the truck and with my phone and the picture of the serial number tag and there it was... the SAME transfer case still in the truck. When I asked John why he lied about putting a new one in and trying to charge me for it, he said.... I'm sorry, im just having money trouble right now. He told me he rebuilt mine. This is simple FRAUD!!! The only reason I didn't report it was because I feared he wouldn't honor the warranty if i had any other problems.... I'm writing today to tell you the transmssion failed again!! I called John and he told me that my son must be abusing the truck and he would have to charge me for another repair. BOTTOM LINE - Don't Don't Don't go to this repair shop unless you want to be lied to and frauded out of your money. Some other shops cost more but trust me in the long run you will be glad you did I'm not done yet...... I'm still planning to bring an investigation for the fraud committed last August. I simply don't want to see anyone else get taken advantage of like me.

Great place Jim and Jody hooked us up on a friday while driving to a campground and our check engine light came on. Did a google search and found them. It was a o2 sensor that came up on the computer. Got replaced in a half and hour and we were on our way. 9 months later still no light and the truck gets better gas mileage. We price checked with the dealership and it was half the price than what they wanted. This garage is mechanicsburg's best keep secret. I take all of our cars there now.
