Routinely, he tells us when we can wait to get a service done or if we don't need to do it at all. In the end, this saved us a ton of money.

Do not come empty handed. There is also more than one part to make your brake light switch work! There is a fuse, there is wiring, and there is also a 25 cent clip that gets soft and falls apart over time.
