Engine repair service near Shippensburg, PA

I moved here from Mount Airy, MD. My brother is a mechanic with his own shop and has always serviced our vehicles. When I moved to Mercersburg, Pa I stumbled upon Liberty Tire and Auto. They are by far the best service station I've been to. They have always been professional, honest and upfront with me. They haven't tried to sell me services that I don't need; the ones I have needed to have done have been reasonably priced. I wouldn't take my cars any where else!

Have had to go there alot recently to get my cars fixed. They are always helpful, good prices and do a fantastic job. Friendly and they go out of their way! Tough to find in any business these days. I would not hesitate at ALL to recommend them.

My experiences with Hippensteel Auto is 100% satisfied! The noise in my engine was immediately addressed and fixed the dsy it happened. They had me park the car, picked it up and took it to the station. I received a call at the end of the day that the part had been replaced and the car was ready for pick up! This man is the most honest genuine mechanic I have ever met. He was able to diagnose my problem over the phone, then when I bought it in anyway he was absolutely right! The part that is impressive is, the problem was my front tires, he did not charge me any money when I offered, he gave me lots of helpful advice. I can not believe that there are still people like Tim around, no wonder everybody takes there vehicle to him, and although he is always busy, he will get you scheduled in very quickly! Aside from my Dad who is also a mechanic, Tim is the only one I will EVER take my vehicles to.... I will strongly recommend him to anyone.

All around full service, He even picks up and drops off your car. Reasonable priced and will look for the best deal for parts he has to order. Highly recommend!!!

Great place Jim and Jody hooked us up on a friday while driving to a campground and our check engine light came on. Did a google search and found them. It was a o2 sensor that came up on the computer. Got replaced in a half and hour and we were on our way. 9 months later still no light and the truck gets better gas mileage. We price checked with the dealership and it was half the price than what they wanted. This garage is mechanicsburg's best keep secret. I take all of our cars there now.
