I was wrong. I posted the comment on Sept. 14 about putting a hole in my oil pan. they did put the tiny hole in the pan, just not the way I said. I apologize. the plate that reinforces the drain plug hole is attached by 3 spot welds. if you tighten the plug too hard, it breaks one of the welds and puts a hole in the pan. that is what happened. I have learned that happens to often with japanese cars. you have to use a new gasket EVERY time or it leaks.

I needed to have a piston removed from a connecting rod and a new piston put on. I had the parts and just needed someone to do the work. I called late on a Saturday and Jim (the owner) said he would wait for me to get there (which he did, he stayed at least 30 minutes late trying to help me). Once he started to look at what I had, he noticed that the connecting rod was bent (he was accurate, it was bent), he got on the phone and started calling around to locate another one. He found one at 1/3 the price that I could find one (he found it for $35.00 which included shipping I only found it for $116.00 which did not include shipping) and said he could have it delivered by Monday (which it was delivered by). He called me as soon as it was delivered and as soon as I got there with the other parts, he didn't make me wait, he put it together. When he told me the balance, it was for the part ONLY, he didn't charge me a dime for putting it together for me! When I reached into my purse to grab my checkbook, I realized it was missing, so I offered to pay with a debit card or credit card. Unfortunately, they don't accept them there, however, they didn't want to hold me up, so if you can believe this, in this day and age, they sent me on my way WITH the completed part and told me to mail them a check!!!! Not only did I find them to be honest, accurate, and affordable, I found them to be some of the friendliest folks around. While I waited for the part to be fixed, Jim had Biscut (his hound) show me her tricks (her Nascar trick was my favorite). I also had the pleasure of meeting Jim's father in-law (a real charmer). They have photos on the wall of some of the race cars that Jim has raced over the years (I found them interesting). These guys know their stuff, they have raced high performance cars for years and STILL do. Anything you need done, these guys are capable. They really treat you like family!!! Fair and honest. Went out of their way to help us by providing roadside assistance and trying to get us on our way. They even let us hookup to water and power and stay in the RV at their shop while they made the repairs (and fed us supper). After we were on the road and had more mechanical breakdowns, they coached us via phone until we made it to our destination. I highly recommend this family owned business.
