No starts wasn’t an option!! My car broke down while traveling down 35E on a Sunday and it happened to be next to that shop-so I had it towed there since I live 4 hours away!!! So I call Monday morning to see if it can even be fixed...I get a quote and say ok...after all that work is done there’s more so I allow that as well...so a few days go by and it’s now Wednesday morning so I call to see if it’s ready and they say yes so I op in my rental and head that way...I arrive around 1:30 and the car isn’t ready bc it had started to overheat again so I wait at restaurant until they call at 4 to tell me it’s good to go...I don’t even make it all the way out of Dallas before it starts to overheat but by then they’re closed...so I park on the side of the highway for it to cool for about 30 mins and take off...well I made it for an hour then it died on me in Georgetown which is still another hour and a half from my home-and I ended up not eleven getting home until 1:30am bc I had someone come get me! I call them today about a refund and was basically told to go fuck myself...I don’t understand how someone can take your last $1000 to fix a car that you had already told them you weren’t sure if it was fixable or not and be ok with themselves...I would’ve rather them told me it has too many problems to be fixed-bc now I’m out $1000, no car, and wasted an entire day-I have never been so disappointed in my entire life!

I would not take any car or truck to these guys. I have a truck that has had a transmission replaced by these guys and it lasted 7 months but was 200 miles over the warranty period. These guys would not work with me at all and basically said they didn't know why the transmission failed. Then they told me it would be $390 to tell me the transmission was bad?? My reply is no kidding that is why i brought it to a transmission shop? When they couldn't tell me what caused the break down and wouldn't work with me on the price of repairing it, I told them I was not interested in putting another $1400 down for another transmission, they didn't even put it back together they threw the transmission and all the parts in the back of the truck and left it. When I towed the vehicle to Eagle Transmission in Richardson the tow truck driver said this is not the 1st time he has picked up cars they have done this to. I went to Eagle for $1150 I have a good solid transmission like the one in my other truck they did and it has 100k miles on it and still pulling strong. These guys are not good and apparently they get business because they are right on I-35. Very bad move dealing with them in the 1st place.

I'm not sure what the previous person experienced but Joe is a great guy! As a shop owner, he sometimes have to tell the customer what he/she may not want to hear. He works hard to keep cost low for his customers. His employees, Trish, Mike, Tony and Anthony all work really hard as well. They know who you are and treat you like family. It's certainly the place where everybody knows your name. I've been getting my car serviced at German Motor Works for the past 3 years' and only paid too much once. The reason for that mishap was that I decided to bring my car elsewhere because of convenience. Needless to say, I've never done that again. I plan to get my car serviced with Joe as long as I continue to own this car.
