Just had some repairs done to my 2008 Ford Diesel. I was quoted over a 1000.00 at another shop for repairs that were not even needed. Dorsett's saved me almost 350.00 dollars as the truck did not need what the other shop said it needed. These guys are VERY knowledgeable on diesels and the work was performed to my complete satisfaction! The staff is very friendly and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Service was prompt and have no issues with the repair. Repair was more expensive than I had estimated, but typically, parts/ labour are more expensive on the island... Overall, if I had another issue, while in Galveston, I would go there again.

We took a car in to have the belts changed - they charged us for two belts & only changed one. When we questioned them about it, they put the car back on the lift, changed the second belt, and denied not replacing it the first time. The owner produced a second belt (with part numbers & brand names still on it - these wear off of used belts) & claimed it was the belt they removed from our car.

The worst experience ever took my car there cause my gear wouldn't go into park so he charged me 150.00 to look at it then disassembled my shifter and left it like that with no solution said he couldn't find parts for it said for me to go look for another solution for it. And then they had disabled my car alarm and they couldn't get it to work again and Dave tells me they don't know how to get it to work. Well first off my car was fine when I got there my alarm worked. And they did nothing to help to get my alarm working he tells me go to an alarm company to get it fixed. I will never go there again shity service they will take you money with no problem at all. So my shifter doesn't work my alarm doesn't work and I am out 150.00 so people don't go there I am not sure they can help you they didn't help me at all.

DON'T GO THIS SHOP!!! THEY RIP YOU OFF!!!! SHAME ON THEM! I went there on Nov. 2012. I asked them the price before they started to fix my car. There was one of African-American guys told me "about $20" which I had the same problem before in my car and got it fixed in another repair shop for "NO CHARGE". However, after the guy used a plastic strap to tie it up for my car's skidplate. That guy walked into the rest area and told me "$20 CASH". Since I didn't have enough cash that day, and I pointed their glass door and asked him "BUT, here said Your store accept credit cards." Then, the African-American was madly and yelled to me say "IF YOU NEED ME PUT INTO COMPUTER, THEN IT COST MORE." then, they had me waited a while there when they were putting my car info into computer. THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD $30. That was ridiculous! Afterward, I called back to the store few times and tried to talk to the manager, but they told me NO MANAGER THERE. I've also emailed their customer service center from online twice, but I still didn't get any response from them since this company didn't list any 1-800 for customer to call. BAD SHOP! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM! I'LL NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN EVEN I LIVE CLOSE BY.

I do not recommend anyone here anymore, due to bad service. Management and staff changed recently and no longer provide the same customer service. The manager there has no people skills and does not seem to care about the horrible customer service he provides clientele. I used Meineke every month for my regular oil changes for the past 4 years at this location and have been very disappointed with my last 3 visits. They always seem to find something new or wrong with my vehicles each time I go and feel pressured to pay for new & unnecessary services each time. A dishonest business does not look out for it's customers and will lose integrity,not just it's customers. I no longer recommend this location to friends and family and am now taking my vehicles elsewhere. Do your research and take your vehicle, where you are appreciated as a customer and where you can trust the people you do business with.

I have been to several auto repair shops in Houston and this one is absolutely the worst of them, by far. So I wanted to do a simple state inspection on my car, which runs very well without any noise or problems. Their behavior was so rude, unprofessional, and dishonest and they wasted my time by making me visit four times without finishing a simple inspection although they charged me for that. First time I went there, "their machine was down" so I came back the day after. After several hours of waiting, the rude staff told me that my car needs a CV axle replacement that costs $400 and without that replacement, they won't pass the inspection. (Note: CV axle is not even part of the state inspection!) But regardless of that they charged me for the inspection service and they gave me a 10-day grace period to fix this axle and come back to finish the inspection for free. So I replaced the axle in another shop for $250!! and came back the next week to finish the inspection for free as he promised me. But guess what? "The machine was down" again so they asked me to come back the day after. Finally, I took my car for the forth time and he told me "their machine is still down" and I need to take my car to another shop in order to catch the registration deadline. But I have already paid them for the inspection. When I complained, they just denied the whole story and whatever he already promised me to do. VERY RUDE! I do not recommend this shabby shop to anyone. I wish I could rate them zero stars.

The short version is that car spa damaged my vehicle and have given me the run around for over a month without fixing it. I was a repeat customer who brought multiple cars there for years (probably spending a couple of thousand dollars all together). Never again. Long version: 1 month ago, on a Saturday, I came in for an oil change and general cleaning (inside and out). After the oil change but during the cleaning inside the car, an employee broke my rear view mirror off in such a way that it couldn't be reattached. The guy who broke the mirror was very apologetic and I wasn't particularly upset about that (accidents happen). What did bug me was waiting beside my car for 30 minutes until a manager (Juan) could look at the damage and take down my details. On the back of their copy of the receipt, I wrote down my name, number, make, model, VIN, etc and since it was the weekend, Juan promised to call me on Monday with a resolution. No one calls me on Monday. I wait until Thursday to call them and after 20 mins on hold am told that the part has been ordered and that they will call me when it comes in. No one calls me the following week. I call on Friday and after a lot of hold time, I am told that the wrong part arrived, had to be returned and the correct one ordered. I will be called when it arrives. No one calls me the following week. I show up in person on Sunday and talk to Juan (who doesn't remember me of course). I describe the repeated calls, the repeated runaround and how after three weeks, this just needs to be made right. He promises, to my face, to make amends and take care of me and fix my mirror. I am clear that I will wait 1 week and if it is not resolved by then, I start posting my experience online. That was 9 days ago. Car Spa, your staff lie to your customers, repeatedly, on the phone and in person and it reflects very poorly on your company as a whole.
