Auto inspection service near Plano, TX

This company has been wonderful to me! They saved my bacon a couple times! Charles came out and help me the first time and discovered some major things wrong with a car I bought. I found out it was bad. I was able to turn it in and get another wonderful car. And Charles came out before I got the wonderful car and help me out again. The receptionists are great and friendly. All of my issues are ongoing. None of them are ever fixed. I have to continue to bring vehicle back for same issue or for “new” issue that supposedly occurred out of the blue but in truth are by products of tech mistakes.

Found my new shop. Knowing they offer a shuttle service is a huge plus, but the service and fair price is what I'll come back for. My mechanic worked with me on my parts issues and I feel like I got a good price for quality installing shocks all around. Staff made it as painless as possible and truck drives like it did new. Bob Parra runs a well-managed and professional auto service. We have used them for years and each time they have performed beyond our expectations. From the time you come in to the time you pick up your vehicle, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They explain things at a level I can understand. They do not pressure us. They explain the facts and help us determine the best solution and timeline. Each time we bring in our vehicle, they give it a good inspection so we know we are driving a safe vehicle. It used to be hard to find a good car repair shop. I don't know if that is true for today because we have gone to Parra Car Care for so long. If you are looking for a top-notch shop that respects it's customers and tries very hard to please them then this is one of the best. They are great mechanics!

The work performed was satisfactory, owner/mechanic is obviously knowledgeable and has been in business for many years. Like most auto repair shops, they so often fail to show their cost of parts plus the mark up, which can be significant depending on brand and who the wholesaler is. In most cases auto repair shops will buy after market products instead of OEM, which allows them to mark up the parts a 100 to 150 percent plus labor. This lack of transparency can cost the customer a good deal of money over an above what is considered reasonable. First consult a auto parts store for pricing on parts needed, you'll find that the retail pricing will be less than what your paying the auto repair shop. In most cases auto repair labor charges will exceed the cost of parts by 70 to 300 percent, a wide disparity indeed.

I was a customer for a very long time until You started using predatory practices. I’m out . I noticed other people doing the same thing . It’s a shame .You had such a good rep and well now you just don’t.

Top notch organization. I recently purchased a used Volvo and I needed a mechanic shop that I could trust. I made several requests to about 10 different shops and this was the only one that responded in a timely manner and with a professionally written quote and a phone call. This was also the farthest from my home than the others I had send inquiries to. So based on the quick professional response and a couple of phone conversations that impressed me, I chose European Auto Tech. Arthur and Caesar were friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and even had my car ready the next morning. Originally they said they may have it for a couple of days, so they were actually ahead of schedule. They did find a few things that needed immediate attention and they called me to see if I wanted to proceed and didn't add any extra labor charges onto the bill. They were more than fair on the pricing. All the way around, this was a great experience. Suzy Mullins

It's not really that parts for an old E-55 AMG only come from Germany and are obviously gold plated. Everything else would be a 6 Star if it was a available.

I was really hoping to find a great honest mechanic in the area and thought Mastertech would be that place. But we took our Mini Cooper in to get an inspection done and for some reason, on that day, the service engine light was on. Therefore, they couldn't inspect it. We paid for a diagnostic test to be done so we could get the work required done to pass inspection. We were told that the part would need to be ordered and it would take about 2 days to come in and it would take 1/2-1 hour for the service. I was quoted a price over the phone for the repair. He told me that Mini did not carry the small part that was needed and that he was going to have to get it from another auto parts store and go pick it up. He said that Mini only sells the entire assembly which would be much more expensive. But over a week went by without a phone call to tell us the part had arrived. So we called on a Wednesday and they said they would call back. Never did. We called the following Friday and they said they would call back. Never did. So we called the following day, Saturday, and we were told that the tech guy who quoted me the service was now in the hospital and that they couldn't do the repair because they don't know the exact part to get. They referred me to Mini and to get a rental from them, which is now going to cost me major $$. Remember...the tech guy told me that Mini does not sell just the small part needed (only the entire assembly). Not to mention that Mini (the dealer) charges 300% on their parts and labor. Chris, the one I spoke to on Friday and Saturday, seemed to not know anything. He just told me to take it to the dealer. If I would've known they wouldn't do the repair, I would've had the diagnostic test done elsewhere (somewhere that could). Because now, I am out that diagnostic fee and it cannot be applied to my repair as they promised. I feel terrible that the tech guy is in the hospital, but it shouldn't be that difficult to know which "pigtail" to use in our car when they have all my auto information on file (make, model, VIN, etc.). VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED!!

Do not use this company. I paid $220 for a service he did not provide. He supposedly filled my car with freon and I was told it was a little cooler but still warm I had to pay an additional 100 to have freon put in my car and was told it did not have any freon. He lied and no service was provided. This company is a RIP OFF. DO NOT USE THEM
