Oil change service near Texas City, TX

Had a starter fail last day of a conference in Galveston. Needed a quick repair as I was scheduled to leave Galveston that day. Called to make an appt. & they got me in right away. Service was prompt and have no issues with the repair. Repair was more expensive than I had estimated, but typically, parts/ labour are more expensive on the island... Overall, if I had another issue, while in Galveston, I would go there again.

We took a car in to have the belts changed - they charged us for two belts & only changed one. When we questioned them about it, they put the car back on the lift, changed the second belt, and denied not replacing it the first time. The owner produced a second belt (with part numbers & brand names still on it - these wear off of used belts) & claimed it was the belt they removed from our car.

My skid control light came on on my 2014 Mercedes. Did not want to go to the Dealer so the local auto parts store in Webster recommended Gulf Coast Auto. I called them and scheduled an appointment, Wow nice shop, good crew and no run-around. Turns out wit was no biggy, in and out in less then a day for a fair price.

I would NEVER, EVER go back to this place. I needed to get my catalytic converters replaced and called for a quote. Their quote was cheaper than anyone else and I already called 5 other places. But what struck me as odd was that quoted immediately, unlike the other places I called. All the other places had to do a little research and call me back. My feeling was that it might be too good to be true. And I was right. They had my car for almost two weeks and didn’t look at it until they already had it for 4 days. In the end, they never fixed the problem and just wasted my time and money. In addition, they would also say they would call back and NEVER called me back. I ALWAYS had to call them. I’ve got better things to do than to keep following up with a business that has my car. I’ve read several reviews about this place on various sites and wished I had read them and avoided this place. THIS IS THE WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.
