Retail tire service near Universal City, TX

Took my Mazda 5 in for a diagnostic because 2 different Mazda dealers had NOT been able to follow the guide for the known issues for a Mazda 5 listed online. Was told I needed a new transmission and it would be cheaper to trade it in (this was in the summer) waited for school to start again so my daughters auto tech class could look at it. Long story short a transmission control module later (plug and play device) changed by under age HS students and my car runs PERFECTLY. It was mis-diagnosed by these mechanics with yrs of experience. If I could rate less than 1 start I would because I am out the money for the diagnostic fee plus the time I had to wait for school to start again.

Sam and his team of professionals are friendly and honest; that is saying a lot these days. I would not want to pass up the opportunity to recommend them to you. DO not do business with Mida's on Pat Booker and here is why...Def. would not be doing business with them again as I had in the past. I Took my truck in and left it there. I was pretty sure that I had a fouled spark plug. They ran test and called me stating that the plug in cylinder 1 was bad and asked if I wanted them to change it. Told them I had NGk plugs and they would have to replace all of them and asked how much it would be. Was told it would be $79.99 to replace all six which seemed ok since the plugs are $7 a piece and it is not a hard job to do. When I picked the truck up I was told it was $253.07 after arguing I had no choice but to pay to get my truck back. They said sorry for the misunderstanding we could give you a few free oil changes. Explained I do not prepay for oil changes and I just want to be charged what I was quoted. In the end I payed them the$253.07 and now will do my best to make sure no one does business with them or any of the locations owned by this group.

They were to check my vehicle for a coolant leak, and said the car was "in perfect shape, couldn't find a thing wrong." The next morning, i opened the hood found the leak coming from under the cap, squirting through the grill. Apparently, they didn't even bother to turn the engine on to build enough pressure to see it.

It is not always easy to find a place you can trust. Ricky and his shop are the best.. I would send my mother here. Highly recommended. He took great care of us.

Honest, quick, professional! Called them for an oil change and wheel alignment appointment and they were able to take my Toyota Prius immediately. They did an excellent job, pointed out some things that I should get fixed, and told me how much I should expect the service to cost. It's a no-brainer to return to them again in the future.

You know how sometimes things just go from bad to worse, and just when you think things cannot get any worse, they do? Well that's what happened today. BUT - a major blessing for me came in the form of a young man by the name of Neil W. Smith who works for Discount Tire located at 13850 O'Connor Road. Please, if you ever need tire assistance of any kind, stop in at Discount Tire on O'Connor Road and talk with Neil W. Smith. Just when I had given up on humanity - this man was sent to prove that humanity and love for others still exists. (January 26, 2013)

I had a good experience here. This is the first time I took my car in for a repair in San Antonio. I called them for a quote, I was happy with the price (I had done my research), they ordered the part, we made the appointment and then I brought it in. They fixed it in the amount of time they said they would even though I showed up late, they charged me the price they quoted and they didn't bring any new problems to my attention. They also gave me $25 off because I signed up for the text message discounts. I haven't been getting any texts since then but I got and used that first one. I haven't smelled oil since that day. They also gave me a stamp card to earn a free oil change. I'm thoroughly happy.

The discount tire on military drive in san antonio was very good. many customers but they waited on me immediately. they replaced all four tires in about 20 minutes. free bottled water while i waited. the discount tire employees all seemed to be in a good mood. price was right too. they really tried to save me money too. all four tires cost a total, with tax, of just over 400 hundred dollars.

These guys are great. I'll definitely bring my Prius back next time I need service.

I went to this establishment and the tech's there where to conduct an inspection of the vehicle. Never once did they honk the horn,check blinkers, windshield wipers or brake lights. They popped the hood looked at the engine for a while and walked away for a long period of time then came back with a sticker. My complaint aside from the violation of not conducting the state required checks on my vehicle is. I feel that this establishment purposely messed with my truck while under the hood. It has under 39,000 miles on it and had no engine noise what so ever prior to my visit at this Midas however now it accelerates horribly and is rattling and whistleing in the engine compartment. When I called to discuss with the owner he did not want to state his name and of course denies any wrong doing. I would stay away from these crooks. BEWARE..I only give them a one rating because you cant rate a zero on this site.

Had been highly recOmmended but when I got my car back power steering was still leaking and the car didn't feel like anything had been done. When taken back they tried to tell me the power steering wasn't leaking it was the transmission. My transmission was fine. He wanted to sell me a car he was selling instead of fixing mine.
