Advantage Automotive will try to squeeze as much as they can out of your wallet. I had a crankshaft sensor replaced there and they charged me $189. The part is $17 at the auto parts store and is easier to change than your oil. Of course I didn't know those two things when they replaced the sensor. The main guy tried to bs me every which way.

Called in to Pep Boys around 8 am on 6/22. Told me I needed to schedule an appointment for an oil change. They had a coupon for 19.99 oil change, considering that's a good deal I decided to try this place. WHAT A REGRET! Showed up a minute early. Waited by the bays for 15 minutes and no one ever came out to ask me a thing. Finally I asked a man and he said I needed to check-in to the front. So I did so. It took them another 15 minutes to get the coupon put in properly. Then the manager told me to come back at 11:30, then said, make it Noon just to make sure. Well, since I made an appointment, I didn't plan on leaving, thinking this would be a quick in and out. I waited. At 12:20 they STILL hadn't started the oil change. Then it took them until 1:30 to finish. An HOUR long oil change? What were they doing for the hour anyway? At 1:30 my truck was parked out front. NO-ONE came to tell me it was ready. Finally went to the front counter and a special ed girl rang me up. Charged me the wrong amount, which I noticed once I got to my truck. Went back in, and it took them 25 MORE minutes to refund the extra amount and give me the extra cash back. BOTTOM LINE: Don't be fooled by their cheap prices, this place is AWFUL. To get my oil change, that should take 30 minutes or less complete, it took OVER 3 1/2 HOURS. They wouldn't give me any discounts for my time or for the Manager telling me to come back at noon, when they wouldn't even have started til after 12. Do not waste your time or money with this place.

I highly recommend this business because of their expedience in giving me a diagnosis, a fair price, and being patient enough to let me change my mind and have them fix the vehicle. There is so much more to this story; all I'm going to say is that if I were living in Spanish Fork, this would be my go to repair shop.
