Hall's Tire & Auto did an excellent job. I suffered a flat and had been waiting to get new brake pads. Hall's fixed both for me, no appointment needed, in just a couple of hours. The reviews on Yelp were spot on - excellent customer service, quick repair, established business in place for 66 years. If you need repair work, I recommend Hall's.

BUYERS BEWARE... As a former employee I noticed that the price mark up is ripping both areas off. For example they pay $18.99 for brake pads and you get charged $79.99 minimum, they pay $25.00 for brake rotors and you get charged $119.00 on the average. I've witnessed alot of wrong doing while working as a so called manager for this company. I feel for customers such as Ms. Shaw who came in to have her door fixed on her mini van and was charged $119.00 for diagnostics and was given a quote for $1800.00 only to get the problem fixed somewhere else for $6.00...but to make it worse the owner promised to refund her the diagnostic charge and then jerked her out of it. Instructing everyone to blow her off if she called. I can honestly say that I have NEVER experienced such robbery in all of the years I've been in the automotive industry. We brought our 2001 Acura to this shop back in September. We were on our way to DC from Raleigh, NC when our car started to run a little rough. We took it here because it was right off the highway and wanted someone to look at the car before we went on our way. We had to leave the car there because we had an appointment in DC., and it wasn't fixed. We received a call that evening saying that we needed a tune up, 2 ignition coil packs, and a recommendation to do each coil pack for approximately $900. We decided to only have the 2 that were broken repaired for a total of $524.89. The next day, they called and said the car was running beautifully. We made it back to Raleigh, where 3 days later, the car stopped running. We took it to an actual Acura mechanic, where we found out that the spark plug port on the head of the engine was stripped by the meineke mechanic. Now, we needed a new head to the engine. We called Meineke. They said to fax estimates. We did. We waited and waited and waited some more. We heard nothing. We left 7 voicemails with the owner of the shop and heard nothing. We filed a complaint with the better business bureau and Meineke Corporate. This is where the story gets interesting. Meineke management weaved a web of complete and utter lies to the better business bureau and Meineke Management all while still refusing to contact us. This shop is owned by rude and disrespectful people who will only rip you off. Needless to say, VISA sided with us and the money we paid to Meineke was placed back in our account. Do NOT take your car to the Meinke on Parham Road in Richmond, VA.

Wow! Talk about compassionate people...this staff is AWESOME! I had a problem with my tires (TOYO) from the factory, only 12,000 miles on my 2013 car. I explained the problem and they got right on it. One tire appears to be out-of-round and all lose tire pressure together and the light comes on. I am very picky about my vehicles and have been to the dealer as scheduled for rotation and balance. Just had an alignment done that barely was needed,,only right toe off a bit. These people called the office and went to TOYO for answers. I haven't heard back from factory yet, but if you want someone who cares and knows their stuff. The mechanic, William, explained everything in details I could understand. It appears 2013 Mazda 5 may have some camber issues on this model. There is a kit to fix the adjustment. They didn't charge for the inspection, info, or rotation. The one tire still has issues (that is NOT their fault). They are working on getting them replaced for me! Thanks everyone who assisted and especially William and April Foster. Recommend this place!

I was very happy with the experience.

My husband took our Mercedes in because the headlights were going out while driving at night. We took it in for repair. We were told that the diagnostics said the alternator needed to be replaced. After paying a bill for 495.00, the car was still doing the same thing the next day. We took our car back to get the problem corrected. In the mean time, my husband called a local Mercedes repair shop to inquire about the headlights and they told him that most likely a module needed to be replaced. (No mention of the alternator at all). Low and behold, when we called Buddy South back, Scott, the manager told me that they THOUGHT the problem was the alternator but now they THINK it is a switch and we needed to fork over another $520 dollars. When I asked why both problems did not show up when they did the diagnostics, he said they only checked for problems with the alternator. (But the diagnostics should have been to detect the problems no matter what was causing the problem).I asked Scott if they checked to make sure that the problem was fixed after they replaced the alternator and he said he could not duplicate the problem. However, they were able to duplicate the problem the second time around. All they had to do was let the car run with the headlights on for 10 minutes and "voila". I don't think they tried the first time around, because they ASSUMED the alternator was the problem. Basically, if you have a foreign car, don't let BUDDY SOUTH guess at your car problems....It will cost you dearly. I was forced to give them one star but I would never recommend this shop to any one.....unless I really wanted to see them spend unnecessary money. I wouldn't wish that on any one.
