Auto inspection service near Roanoke, VA

6/4/2022 Brought my mothers car in for inspection and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes… exceptionally pleased w the customer service provider all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great service! Cheap prices! Woohoo! As good as it gets.

I brought my car in hoping I had chosen an honest garage this time. I had been having a lot of noises coming from the front end of my car. Long story short they have earned my business from here on out. They called me with an estimate and let me know what the problem was. They were able to have it ready in one day and my total was less than my estimate. When I was in the office picking my car up everyone else who was in there for service was telling me what a great job they do and how trustworthy they were. It is hard to find an honest mechanic these days.

I suggest if you are African-American or affiliated with African-Americans this shop clearly does not appreciate your business. I was told by a white friend to take vehicle here... boy was he wrong. Worst experience I've had since the 80s, I thought it was 1950. Definitely made me realize there are clearly racists among us. Needless to say my white friend says he will never go back to have his pickup worked on and he apologized for making the suggestion.

I was traveling from New Market, VA to home in Morristown, TN and I realized my car was leaking something. I called this garage and they agreed to look at my car. I was in and back on the road in about an hour. The people at this garage were exceptionally nice and so polite. I asked what I owed when they were through and the man said nothing. He said he could not charge me and stated that he just hoped that someone would help his wife if she had issues and was that far from home.

The staff are friendly, the service is fast, and the prices are very reasonable! I have used South Main Auto for car maintenance needs for years, and have never been disappointed. If I need maintenance on my vehicle and must be on the other side of town within 15 minutes, the crew will gladly shuttle me to my destination for free, and get me back to the shop at my convenience to pick up my vehicle! Hands down I recommend South Main Auto!
