Engine repair service near Atwood, CA

OET had my problem diagnosed within two hours and had my car back to me within the same day. I was shocked when I was told that the problem was minor. My repair cost substantially less than I expected. I knew then, that I had finally found an honest mechanic.

What I love about this place is that they are courteous and helpful. I called and spoke w/ Bill the manager told him my issue, brought my car in and because it was just a minor issue I was in and out in about 30 mins or less!!! I will definitely take my car back there!

Went here on a referral with a coupon to have AC service. Mechanic did a good job , didn't try to up charge me. Honesty and integrity very much appreciated don't find that with a lot of mechanics these days!

12/14/2011 I just came from the shop and it is good news. My engine is nearly finished. Aaron took me in the back to check out the progress. WOW!! This engine is spotless. It looks brand new. Incredible. It’s too early to give Hi-Tec two thumbs up but if it runs as good as it looks I’m going to be happy. Aaron say’s the team should be done this week and he is going to call me. The car is in great shape otherwise, straight body no dents clean interior. So, I look at all the options and decide that having the engine rebuilt “COULD” be the best option. I called a few shops and looked into the best place to have the work done. Then I called Hi-Tech engine in Gardena. I spoke with Aaron and he seemed very confident that they could take care of me. I mean the guy knew everything about my engine and reassured me that Hi-Tech specialized in engine rebuilding. So, the next day I had my car towed in and Aaron gave me a tour of the shop. Well, this is not a simple repair shop. Hi-Tech is better described as an engine-rebuilding factory. They have a full-blown specialty machine shop that appears to be well staffed. They have a large inventory of replacement parts and I noted the presence multiple engines in various stages of rebuild. They have a special area for engine install, in short everything looked good. Overpriced with a "can't tell me sh*t" attitude. Maybe their great on old cars but as for my wife's 2010 Challenger they caused more issues then fixed and charged me 1/3 more then anywhere else to do it. Brought my car in for springs, struts, alignment and to go through and make sure everything was right. Did a motor swap and the shop before didn't tighten the lock nuts on my adjustable suspension so wanted it all gone over. Guy was mouthy from the start and bitched about the job the whole time. My front ball joints we're missing a lock plate (found out later), really obvious but they didn't say anything and put it back together anyway. Also missed my rear craddle bushings went bad even after bringing it back to them. This is a huge issue and made the car unsafe to drive, they said it was all good though. I call back and kind of question their knowledge since these basic and obvious issues were missed to which I was hung up on. My advice, find another shop and save yourself the agony.
