I made an appointment the night before for 7:30am the next morning (apparently appointments aren't necessary though), but of course, I overslept and missed it. When I arrived at 10:30am, they were all very forgiving and super kind. Besides being very knowledgable, the staff was eager to help and was very patient at my lack of knowledge about car/auto stuff. There's complimentary coffee and soft drinks available for you as you wait, as well as magazines and free wifi. They offered me a ride to work so I wouldn't have to sit and wait. The ride to and from work was pleasant - Jim was very friendly which made my ride to work nice. They called me a few times throughout the day to update me with what's happening with my car, which was helpful.While I don't know too much about standard pricing for auto services, I think the price I paid was very reasonable. I got a smog test, safety inspection, oil change, rotated tires, replaced my air filter and fixed an annoying crack on my windshield for around $170, which I don't think is bad. They made a list of parts I should replace for next time, and did not pressure me to get the things fixed now. Ultimately, given the price and the great service, this place is a pretty good deal. I'll be coming back here for all my auto/car related needs.

I had frank care for my three Toyota's and just got a 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 diesel turbo. He now does all my service unless it's a warranty issue. I told my friends who now use him exclusively. Good person honest mechanic. Philip S. Clayton, CA

This is my go to mechanic shop. My car is a 1991 Toyota Celica that was a gift from my grandpa before he passed so with that sentiment I'm trying to restore her to classic glory. My upper engine and cooling system needed an overhaul this time but now it sounds quiet, smooth, with better acceleration while curing the overheating problem I was having. I called Angus with a question on possible engine replacement of 01 Camry with a seized engine. I have to say, he spend a good bit of time explaining to me the pros and cons and concluded that it was not just worth the effort! My impression of him is that he is very knowledgeable and possesses excellent judgement!

I came to Extra Care Auto with a used Toyota pick up, for some suspected engine issues. The crew at Extra Care, truly provided extra care. They took the time to find the issue and explain what was needed and why. They showed me the used parts and what to keep an eye on. It is comforting to have complete trust in a mechanic. If you are looking for a auto repair shop you can trust. These are your guys!

Had to throw in that 4-star rating, so you'd know I was paying attention! (The new tires are fine.) *** Would like GPS advice. I'm a map-persons, but my paper map doesn't tell me where the traffic tie-ups are. I don't think I could drive and wrestle my cell phone. Are there other options you might suggest that I look into?

Had my car detailing done at Mr Detail Plus in Hayward. They did a clay wax on the body and fixed curb rash in few of the rims. Fixing the rims took a bit longer than promised, so the guys did a nice complementary interior cleaning and leather treatment. Great job, reasonable price, and really nice folks.
