I came to Extra Care Auto with a used Toyota pick up, for some suspected engine issues. The crew at Extra Care, truly provided extra care. They took the time to find the issue and explain what was needed and why. They showed me the used parts and what to keep an eye on. It is comforting to have complete trust in a mechanic. If you are looking for a auto repair shop you can trust. These are your guys!

Great service! Absolutely honest mechanic, he told me I didn't need to buy stuff that I was prepared to spend money on. Absolutely would recommend this place. Also, they helped me arrange a rental car which was super convenient. Nice guys, good shop. Thanks!

I brought in my car to be check due to some vibration on the steering wheel and brake pedal when braking. Jim was really helpful and after inspecting the car found out there were some hot spots on the front rotors. I was able to drop my car in the morning before work and pick it up on the afternoon, really convenient. This is the second time I get a repair at Extra Care and both times had a great service.

Oil change, alignment, and extra care and work done to my care that was clearly explained to me before doing the work. They allowed me to stay in a break room until the work was done, allowing me to get my own work done. Would recommend these guys, they seem honest.

I am impressed with Jim and Mike's professionalism and focus on getting the job done right. The duo diagnosed the right problem (saving me lots of $$$), fixed it, realized it was not fixed and made sure to get it done right. The thoroughness and professionalism throughout deserves praise. Even though there were complications, Jim and Mike kept me posted on their progress and learnings. Of course, I appreciate them taking the time to explain their learnings and show me what they did to fix it. I plan to take my car back to Extra Care Auto Repair again.

What I thought was brake line leak turned out to be an oil leak. Jim replaced the broken part, changed the oil and did a full inspection all within a quick turnaround time and decent price! This was my first time going to the shop but I will take my business there again.

My feeling: me and my car are at the mercy of the shop and shop's mechanics that services it...having to choose the "go to mechanic" always becomes a major decision...I was faced with this predicament when one of my tires got poked with a screw. I opted to trust my gut feeling and go to EXTRA CARE AUTO REPAIR because the voice (Mike Rosen) on the other end of the line when I called was pleasant, not at all intimidating... When I got there, Jim Hudson handled my concern with expertise and professionalism. Moving forward, my "go to auto shop" is...EXRTRA CARE AUTO SHOP.

Reliable Mechanic
I was having a problem with my car while in Tahoe and called the dealership that I have been taking my car to get serviced for years. They weren't able to take my car for a week. Found Extra Care on yelp and thought I'd try them out since they had great reviews. Spoke with Jim and he said to take my car in the day after I got back. Glad I did because I found a new, reliable, and nearby mechanic. Jim was very nice and professional. Service was reasonably priced. So glad I gave them a try. Best Car Maintenance

Brake Repair
I took my car in the have the brakes checked because Midas said I needed new brakes. After a brake inspection Larry told me - my brakes were fine. Hello - honest! Love that. Larry looked over my car (per my request) and I was able to get my timing belt changed and new tires all done in two days. They were honest, fast, nice and flexible with my timing needs. I highly recommend this shop.

Auto Repair and Maintenance
These are honest guys doing good work. We bring all of our family cars to this shop because of the quality care and honest prices. Would highly recommend them to others. The shop is also very convenient as it is close to the San Bruno Caltrain station and about a 10 minutes walk to the nearby BART station as well.
