Where do I begin? Holy smokes - what an experience. This is the worst experience ever. Too bad you can't give ZERO stars and/or negative numbers. All you need to do is ask Lou (the guy I've been dealing with since day 1). I have a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. My car was sent there by Infinity. This is the insurance used by the other party who hit my car. My car suffered rear bumper damage among other damages. Lesson learned - you can take your car to any body shop you desire. Don't be fooled into believing this is not true. I'm not saying I was fooled into believing this but many believe it. My car was there almost an entire week. Needless to say, I returned the rental and I went to pick up my car because I was told it was repaired and ready. The first thing I noticed was the display for the rear view camera was not correct. I pointed this out to Lou and I agreed to stay a bit so they can attempt to resolve the issue. My first question - did anyone perform some kind of QA on the car before calling me? Since then, I've taken my car back multiple times (on my own time and no rental). I have been very patient and I have given Sharp Image many opportunities to correct the MANY problems I have discovered and the problems they created. What started out to be a $XXXX.XX estimate has now almost doubled and escalating. They have replaced the camera, the trunk lid and a couple of pieces which they broke when attempting to repair my car AFTER I was told my car was completely repaired. They repaired one of the pieces with a piece of a cable tie/strap! My trunk doesn't close properly now. The inside paneling of the trunk would not hold in place since the accident so Sharp Image decided that in order to repair the paneling they would insert 2 screws to hold them in place. Yes, Sharp Image "repaired" the paneling issue by screwing them into the trunk. So now, I have 2 screws/holes inside my trunk. Some might say, there just 2 screws but the fact of the matter is it's my car and I want it repaired properly. The final straw for me was when I was told I had to take the car to the dealer for the camera issue. I informed Sharp Image that since the trunk lid was replaced that there are MANY imperfections in addition to the aforementioned details above. For example, the rear end brake lights are part of the lid but the right side compared to the left side has gaps and just didn't look correct. I informed Lou about this and I asked if anyone looks at the post-work installation? His response was yes they do and that parts can only be put on one way. Huh? I understand they only go one on way but the fact that there are MANY imperfections doesn't that raise a red flag? He then told me after my visit with the dealer to bring back the car AGAIN so he can look at the imperfections. I humored Lou and told him I would take it to the dealer. Do you think Sharp Image has called me for an update and/or any kind of follow up? The answer is no... So I thought maybe it was me, right? Maybe I'm just being difficult and nitpicking. I called Infinity and voiced my concerns and displeasure. I told them I was going somewhere else and took it to a Ford dealer. I showed the service guy (not the body shop guy) the imperfections and his reaction were priceless. He shook his head and could not believe the "repairs" performed by Sharp Image. He then looked at the camera issue and shook his head some more. I wonder if they thought I wouldn't check their work/repairs. Obviously, something is broke with their process. How does ALL of this go unnoticed? Why did I have to point this out to them? So as of 05/13/14, Ford has my car and is repairing my car properly. I have NEVER written a positive/negative review for anything in my life but I had no choice but to do my first review. I can go on about this experience some more but it gives me a headache just thinking about it. I read the positive testimonials on their website and just laugh. I wonder why they don't post these types of testimonials. Again, I thought maybe it was just me but before taking it to the dealer I showed all the imperfections to many people for their reaction/input. Results were all the same. They all shook their heads and they were in disbelief. You can show someone in high school my car and they can point out all the problems within seconds. Harbor Brake Service is a place I trust, and have for years even back in the days of Fred and Wayne Lebsack. Evan -- the current owner -- maintains the tradition of honesty and fairness. He will tell you when something truly needs to be done, and he'll let you know when something can wait. His prices are competitive and excellent for the quality. I've had brakes done, along with occasional suspension work, and it is the absolute only place I will go for an alignment. He will work with you to arrange a convenient appointment, and works fast. Other than being a longtime satisfied customer, I have no connection with Harbor Brake. I consider it one of the best automotive service centers in the entire county. You won't be disappointed.

I thank my lucky stars for this place!! For as long as I've been taking my car to the team here, which is about 6 years now (this was previously a Nappa, with the same team), I have always been listened to genuinely and given considered, expert recommendations for my old car. It's thanks to them that it keeps on going!! Managers Albert, Mitch and the mechanics are top notch, friendly and so helpful! They take the time to listen and explain. At first, having just moved to LA, I used to cross-check their recommendations with a friend who owns a repair shop back where I used to live. Every time, he agreed with the basis for their assessment, plan of action, and price. As an example of their honesty, there was one type of repair that, for the type of car I have, is apparently best done by the dealership, and they told me that up front, rather than just doing the repair themselves without telling me and leaving me with the chance that the car may not work as it should. They have never been pushy and they help me prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait. They have sometimes gone out of their way to help me. The friendliness and reliability with which I'm treated here makes this Napa shop a valuable part of my sense of community here in Hollywood. I am writing this review as a warning or caution to those who are considering taking their vehicle to this particular shop. I am a nearly 60 year old professional who has been a loyal customer of Midas for many years. I usually take my vehicle to the shop in Mission Viejo but for the past couple of years or so have been taking it to the Lake Forest location. In the past I have always dealt with the manager, Marcos, who was polite, professional and helpful. I wish he was still there. I recently had an issue with my taillight/blinker not working and I brought my vehicle to the Lake Forest Midas. I was told the electrical plate the bulbs plug into needed to be replaced, which seemed reasonable and the repair was made. Since that plate has been replaced by this shop, I have had to bring my vehicle back several times because the same taillight would stop working. I tried to explain to "Manny" that the problem is most likely a short or loose connection with the electrical plate they replaced. Manny could not have been any less interested in what I had to say, would talk over me and at one point told me they "don't do electrical", although their Whitepages advertisement states they do. The very next day, after one of my several trips back, my battery was completely drained. I tried to explain to Manny there must be a short or loose connection but again he just talked over me and dismissed anything I said. Manny told me I needed a new battery and $200.00 later sent me on my way. The SAME taillight went out again and again Manny was rude and not interested in helping me but said he would have his mechanic take a look. When I picked up my vehicle Manny was not around and the mechanic, who was actually nice and apologetic, told me no one ever told him about the electrical plate they had replaced, so he re-worked all the connections and sent me on my way. Long story short, taillight went out again and when I tap it with my hand, it goes back on, indicating a short or loose wire. I brought my vehicle back today and told Manny what was happening. Again, he could not have been any less professional or helpful and REFUSED to complete the repairs his shop initiated. I asked for the District Managers phone number and Manny told me he is the "Owner" and they would just have me call him anyway. I told Manny I would still like the number and he wrote down a number that actually connects to Equifax. Dishonest ? Disgruntled ? who knows ... hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else ... good luck.
