The service at Rick's was terrific! I was on my way to take my son back to UC Irvine from Agoura when my battery and engine lights came on. It turns out I needed a new alternator and belts. Rick went out of his way to accomodate my schedule. He fixed my car promptly which enabled me to get my son back to UCI to attend class that afternoon. He seemed honest and genuine and the prices seemed fair for the work done. Thanks Rick! I will definitely recommend this place to others! Acry H.

This place is awesome. I was looking for a place near me that could perform an alignment on my 2007 Ford escape. The manager there (Don) gave me a great deal, presented me with excellent customer service and treated me like a human being. I do most of my automotive service myself. What I don't do, or can't do, goes to the few places I trust. Harbor Brake Service is a place I trust, and have for years even back in the days of Fred and Wayne Lebsack. Evan -- the current owner -- maintains the tradition of honesty and fairness. He will tell you when something truly needs to be done, and he'll let you know when something can wait. His prices are competitive and excellent for the quality. I've had brakes done, along with occasional suspension work, and it is the absolute only place I will go for an alignment. He will work with you to arrange a convenient appointment, and works fast. Other than being a longtime satisfied customer, I have no connection with Harbor Brake. I consider it one of the best automotive service centers in the entire county. You won't be disappointed.

I thank my lucky stars for this place!! For as long as I've been taking my car to the team here, which is about 6 years now (this was previously a Nappa, with the same team), I have always been listened to genuinely and given considered, expert recommendations for my old car. It's thanks to them that it keeps on going!! Managers Albert, Mitch and the mechanics are top notch, friendly and so helpful! They take the time to listen and explain. At first, having just moved to LA, I used to cross-check their recommendations with a friend who owns a repair shop back where I used to live. Every time, he agreed with the basis for their assessment, plan of action, and price. As an example of their honesty, there was one type of repair that, for the type of car I have, is apparently best done by the dealership, and they told me that up front, rather than just doing the repair themselves without telling me and leaving me with the chance that the car may not work as it should. They have never been pushy and they help me prioritize what needs to be done and what can wait. They have sometimes gone out of their way to help me. The friendliness and reliability with which I'm treated here makes this Napa shop a valuable part of my sense of community here in Hollywood. I am writing this review as a warning or caution to those who are considering taking their vehicle to this particular shop. I am a nearly 60 year old professional who has been a loyal customer of Midas for many years. I usually take my vehicle to the shop in Mission Viejo but for the past couple of years or so have been taking it to the Lake Forest location. In the past I have always dealt with the manager, Marcos, who was polite, professional and helpful. I wish he was still there. I recently had an issue with my taillight/blinker not working and I brought my vehicle to the Lake Forest Midas. I was told the electrical plate the bulbs plug into needed to be replaced, which seemed reasonable and the repair was made. Since that plate has been replaced by this shop, I have had to bring my vehicle back several times because the same taillight would stop working. I tried to explain to "Manny" that the problem is most likely a short or loose connection with the electrical plate they replaced. Manny could not have been any less interested in what I had to say, would talk over me and at one point told me they "don't do electrical", although their Whitepages advertisement states they do. The very next day, after one of my several trips back, my battery was completely drained. I tried to explain to Manny there must be a short or loose connection but again he just talked over me and dismissed anything I said. Manny told me I needed a new battery and $200.00 later sent me on my way. The SAME taillight went out again and again Manny was rude and not interested in helping me but said he would have his mechanic take a look. When I picked up my vehicle Manny was not around and the mechanic, who was actually nice and apologetic, told me no one ever told him about the electrical plate they had replaced, so he re-worked all the connections and sent me on my way. Long story short, taillight went out again and when I tap it with my hand, it goes back on, indicating a short or loose wire. I brought my vehicle back today and told Manny what was happening. Again, he could not have been any less professional or helpful and REFUSED to complete the repairs his shop initiated. I asked for the District Managers phone number and Manny told me he is the "Owner" and they would just have me call him anyway. I told Manny I would still like the number and he wrote down a number that actually connects to Equifax. Dishonest ? Disgruntled ? who knows ... hopefully this doesn't happen to anyone else ... good luck.

I would have to say that they are the best at what they do. I took my car wrecked from the accident. They towed my car for free to their shop and started on the paperwork right away. Not only they are honest, they are also reliable. In only 3 weeks I had my car back, in perfect condition. A+ to Pristine Auto. God forbid I have another accident, Pristine is my body shop!

Within a 2 week period, 3 of my 4 tires had nails and screws found in them. I had to purchase a new tire for the first situation. The following week I had to make another visit for damage done to 2 other tires. They heard about my belief as to why I am experiencing this. Fixed the problem tires and sent me on my way..... NO CHARGE! They made a bad situation into a situation where I could be grateful for something. Thank you so much to the manager of Hermosa Beach American Tire Depot. It meant a lot!! I will be back! My charger rides so good after the tune-up they gave me, I had a very long drive so I decided to get a tune-up first, so glad I did! They do amazing work!
