Kay Jay's is the go-to auto repair in the high desert. They offer amazing customer service and they are very fair on their prices. Most importantly they are a mechanic that you can trust.

These people have very different vibe than any other shop and I have been to many in my life. They don’t try to upsell you or use some cheep “time pressure” techniques. They honestly look at your car, give you their opinion and very fair price and let you decide what and when you want to fix. I never felt pressured into anything, unlike all other places. I stumbled accross these mechanics through my doughter’s acquaintance and thought to myself at first” another shop we will be testing for a few months untill we get tired of them selling us repairs we don’t need” but do far I have been here about 5 times for various things, I had a very pleasurable experience with both the owner and the young gentleman that works there. Recommend to every body who is tired of being hustled by a money hungry & commission driven people.

I highly recommend this auto car repair facility to anyone. I was referred to this shop by a friend after my 2014 Dodge was having transmission problems. I have limited knowledge of cars, I was fearing the worst. Louis had "best in class" customer service, very honest and straight to the point . it is true, they do "care" at the care shop .mark is the most knowledgeable person I know when it relates to anything about any motor vehicle. I first brought in work truck's for the company I worked for, then my personal pickup, my chevy Tahoe was stolen and striped and his crew put it back together again as it was, mark and his wife rose to run a tight ship and really do care about the work and the customer .they really do back the work without question on the warranty. I have only the very best comments to give, you can trust mark without any concerns because he will have already taken care of any issue before it is a problem. Michael F.

Probably the most honest place in town. I came because Econo Lube told me I needed new brakes which sounded fishy since they were about a year old. Came here and after a few minutes they said I didn't need them. They just needed some tweaking and cleaning. Boom! Worked like new, no more terrible noise, they wouldn't even take my money. First let me say the African american manager I assume never greeted me. We had new tires and two alignments done and less then 6 months later the tire was half bald which obviously indicates the alignment was not done properly. As soon as my husband begin to question and ask about next steps we were immediately told to read our contract and we were basically "dumb" for thinking that should be pointed out. The manager said come back later and I'll do the rotation although you didn't read the contract over and over in an extremely patronizing manner. I have an 08 ml350 in good condition so if the work had been done right we would not need new tires less then 6 months later. More then that this gentleman is basically "yelling" at my husband as if he is not intelligent. My husband is an accountant of high intellect I then informed him not to contract me because we own a business and are aware of how contracts works. At the end of the day we do what is right for the customer not in a manner that demeans or patronized them. He begin to yell louder mock me say " I'm not dealing with you I assume because he did not want to be corrected by a women. This man was extremely unprofessional condescending. Funny thing is when the caucasian women went to get her car he placed her keys in her hands warmly and said have a beautiful holiday. But I did not even get a how are you today. Being in management for 17 years I have never personally experienced reverse racism. Guess there is a first time for everything. Please stay away from this place. If you can't please read your contract and you will be better served if your non black. Good luck and choose wisely.

Very poor business practices, they do not protect your property and when something happens they do not want to take any responsibility for the damage. I took my truck in to them, due to a bad transmission. They told me it would need a new rebuilt transmission and it would cost $ 2700.00 to do it. I told them I did not have the money and it would be a few weeks before I had the money. They told me that was ok, I could leave it there they would do the work and then I could pick it back up when I had the money. They told me they had plenty of room to keep the truck there rather than bring it back when I had the money to do the work. While my truck was there it got damaged, someone hit the rear driver fender and damaged the fiberglass fender. I picked up the truck and drove it to Riverside, and that evening I noticed the damage. The first thing the next morning I took it back to them he said that they would review there cameras to see how and when the damage occurred. I waited almost a week and they never got back to me to let me know what they found. I went in to see about the damage and he said that the cameras did not show anything. Rather than calling me to let me know he just figured I would go away. I am very disappointed in there actions. This not only makes me mad, but he has also lost additional work as I have another truck that needs a transmission and they will never get that work as A result of all the hassle they have put me through. If you are going to take your vehicle to them be forewarned they do not car it they damage your vehicle. Very poor business practices..... I am telling everybody to go elsewhere to have there vehicles repaired. As this is a transmission most of the time you will have to leave your vehicle there a days at a time and a lot can and does happen there.

The reason I go to Rays Auto service is simply because I trust they give the correct diagnosis and repair it correct. its hard to find a place that is not trying to make an extra buck and up sell you.

They are not BBB accredited! They do not abide by their warranties/ contracts! They are sketchy! I was recommended to P&G from sals auto mechanic in fontana, I have a toyota celica Gt 01 that had sucked up water into the intake. I needed a new engine. Sal had told me that this was the place to go. Alex, the owner had quoted me a fair price to install a new 1zz motor (the same kind my car comes with originally) he also said he could switch the position of my intake so that it wouldn't suck up water again.(He didn't) The job was to take 7 days and cost me $2200 with a 1 year or 12,000 mile warranty on all parts and labor. However, upon initial payment of $1100 and 12 days later. I called Alex and he said I needed a new air control valve because the car wouldn't idle right, he also said he needed to install a new "knock sensor", something I've never heard of before. It would cost me an additional $250 and another day of work, I said okay. I just wanted my car fixed. Finally after about 12 days and after I paid the $1450 I got my car back, I understand that cars with new engines have a "break in" period of 3 or 4 months for it be in top condition; so I made sure to drive with caution and made sure not to accelerate over 3000 rpms in between gears. After 1 month, my check engine light came on and my temp was spiking. I took it back to Alex and he said I needed a new temp coolant sensor. I paid $125 for the part and he installed the part. The problem did not go away. Not even a day later the light came back on and he said it was suppose to be a different sensor. He told me he charge me for this new mystery sensor, but after he installed it the problem seemed to be gone. I drove my car for 2 months before I got an oil leak. I took it back and Alex told me it would cost $600 for a new head gasket and seals, he also said that he would not cover it under the warranty because it was because of overheating due to the temperature coolant sensor, the same one that he installed 2 months before! Be warned! This company is not BBB accredited! They are sketchy! And they do not abide by their warranties/ contracts!
