James did my Lexus (about 10 years old) smog test only for $50. He is friendly and does a good job. In and out, took about 15 or 20 minutes. This is our second car we've taken in. Took our 18 year old Camry some months ago. When it needed work before passing, I just went to our mechanic at Woodlake Auto Shop, Stewart had his mechanics do the repairs. I then went back to James for the smog without any additional fees and the Camry passed.

It's an "old school" place - been in business since the 50's and it is second generation family owned - a gem of a find. They educated me, didn't pressure me and made me and my car much happier. We went through 3 different mechanics including the Mercedes Service Department before going to Gold Star. Mike diagnosed the problem with no charge, and his findings were very accurate. We had spend close to $2000 fixing what wasn't even the issue, even Mercedes charging us 280 for diagnosis still couldn't fix the issue. I am so happy and grateful to Mike, he was so generous, professional, experienced, and courteous, we've finally found an honest and extremely experienced mechanic. We recently discovered Mike Bradley's Automotive thru their new owner, Tim Bohle. Our daughter’s car broke down and Tim was accommodating and assisted us with all our needs even thru our busy schedule.
