Oil change service near Claymont, DE

I took my car to Meineke (for the first time) a few months ago for a state inspection and an oil change and left it there while I was at work. A few hours later I relieved a call from a woman saying that my car was in need of $900.00 worth of repairs on top of the cost of the inspection and oil change and how would I like to pay for it? Like I could just whip out $900.00 on the spot! I have a 2010 Nissan Rouge so that just didn't make any sense. The car was running great and I always take it in for routine maintenance. I asked if it would pass inspection without all the repairs and she said yes but just barely. She said my back tires really needed to be replaced. I told her that I didn't want any extra work to be done just the inspection and oil change. She stuck to her position but said fine. Now three months later I took my car to the dealership for my regular routine maintenance and mentioned that a few months back I was told the tires probably needed to be replaced. They called me to tell me they had no idea what I was talking about because the tires are fine in fact they are at 50% now and would have been even better a few months back! THEY LIE TO YOU TO GET YOU TO SPEND MONEY YOU DON'T NEED TO!

Service was prompt and great price. What I appreciated most was that they did not try to upsell me on extra unnecessary parts. I had been going to Jiffy Lube which is similar price but they ALWAYS get you before you leave saying your brakes need changing when they are fine or last time they tried to get me for $250 saying I need a new cabin filter which is crap?! R&M is a small shop, but they get what you need done and honest about it.

I want to say first this Shop was so friendly and helpful. I had got in car accident on Sunday. Called them Monday morning and my guy who I deal with, was out sick, so the Girl at the front desk, Cat got my car over to their shop right away! I even had the wrong phone number! I call the fax machine & Cat knew to call me back... Anyway, the whole experience was seamless, professional, and easy! They even dealt with my insurance company! I was having a oil leak but after the oil change the oil hasn't been burning or leaking thanks mobile
