We are family owned and operated for 15 years in Pompano Beach / Fort Lauderdale / Broward County, FL and 30+ years in NJ. We specialize in high performance and classic car transmissions as well as your daily driver. We stock a plentiful number of Chevy 700R4 (and Chevy 700R4 / 4L60 / 4L60E / 4L65E 's) as well as Ford AODE and 4R70W transmissions. Ron has been building and repairing transmissions since he was 15 and it has become a way of life for him. He basically eats and sleeps transmissions. We specialize in classic and high performance cars but also do the daily driver, pick ups and work trucks, work vans etc. . We have made "Honesty is the best policy" our motto because in this business alot of the well known transmission shops will charge you an arm and a leg for the job when it reality it may be half the price. They may charge you for parts that they are not even installing in your vehicle. They have to consider major overhead and believe me after the strories I have heard 50% of past customers have come to us after getting a price and find ourt we can do the job for half the price and offer a longer guarantee. I was due for my 60K check-in for my 2102 KIA Rio (Rubee) and I was not prepared to pay what my dealership offered. So I took my little, Rubee, to Callahan Auto today. I met him in person and liked him immediately. He’s really sweet. He took the time to listen to my concerns, take a test drive with me and he did not treat me like a girl who knows nada about cars (which I am). He did the work and the bill was really reasonable. I was so happy and Rubee has a lot of pep in her step again. Can’t wait to hit the highway! I am totally going to recommend Callahan Auto to anyone who needs any auto repairs. They are great!
