I brought my truck in for an exhaust leak. The original inspection was a leak in the resonator. I was told that they would have it on a specific date and that I could bring it back in on that date, so I did. When I arrived they told me that they didn’t have the part yet, so I waited for the next delivery time, only to learn that the part still had not arrived and I needed to come back another day. This time the part was there and I waited for the repair to be completed. But once the repair was done they started that I had another exhaust leak at the drivers side exhaust manifold and to reach out to the shop that did the repair last year since it may still be under warranty, and the truck was stuck on the lift for 2 days before they could get it down. I then learned that the warranty expired due to mileage, so I brought the truck back to Coastal to get the exhaust leak at the manifold fixed. Coastal then charged me another diagnostic fee to tell me that nuts were missing from the manifold and one of the bolts was sheared off/missing and that they were not able to fix it for me because they didn’t have the ability to extract the broken bolt. Not really sure why I was charged a second diagnostic fee for the same basic thing they had said at the previous visit.

Diesel engine for my 01 VW TDI arrived in 3 days in ready-to-go condition. Needed nothing, except my very professional German Auto installer polished the crank for a new clutch (dumb not to do). Price was the best on the Web and the car has 'brand-new' life

Chris came to my rescue today. I just had my oil changed at the oil change place down the street and the next time I started my car there were multiple warning lights on. He hooked it up to monitor, opened the hood and said "here's your problem" as he reconnected a hose. I was on my way in 5 minutes and he didn't charge me. We have used Westside Automotive for many years for our vehicle repairs and always been satisfied. I guess I should have used them for the oil change too so it would have been done right. Honesty! I have found Clay County Transmissions to be reliable and honest. I have had repairs done when needed and the techs have told me when I didn't need repairs. The repairs have always been done well and the follow up is included. I have not found a more honest or reputable establishment. I will return to Clay Count Transmission when I need work again.
