Brake repair service near Parrish, FL

I was driving from out of state to my 2nd home for a Christmas family visit. As I was driving over the Courtney Campbell Causeway, sun setting on the horizon, had to open the sunroof and smell the salt air. Beautiful scene. Got to my place a few minutes later...could not close my sunroof. Tried to get the roof to close over the next day to no avail. Called the local dealer, earliest service appointment was 7 weeks out. Was recommended to a European repair shop by a neighbor. After looking at it for a few minutes, they said, "need to take it to the dealer, work too involved". Looked up European car repair in Pinellas County online, several came up, including R&B's. Had great reviews. Called and spoke to A.J. Professional, informative, explained the initial steps w/costs and could get me in the next day. Dropped it off next day and they Ubered me back to my place. They called a few hours later, had gotten the roof to close, which is all I wanted. Cost was exactly what was quoted, initially. Quoted me a price for a new sunroof motor, which sounded reasonable. Decided to leave as is because of heading back North in a couple of weeks and not needing the roof open for quite a while. Being from out of town and completely at their mercy, they could have taken it to me. Instead, A.J. and Molly chose to be honest, courteous and professional. If you have work needed on a European car...take it to this shop. You won't regret it.

If I could leave a HALF STAR I would... After having a new air conditioning unit installed in my car, I took my car to Platinum Wrench to have the system finished up and re-charged. I paid $160.00 for this to be done. The new unit burnt out after only a couple weeks. I returned the parts to the auto store where purchased as it was under warranty and had another new unit installed, thinking the 1st one was faulty. I went back to Platinum Wrench to have them finish up and re-charge the 2nd unit as I have been going to them for years. Once again I paid $160.00 for the service. Once again the 2nd new system only worked for a couple weeks and burnt up!! At this point I decided to get a second opinion so I took it to another auto repair shop. This mechanic asked me if Platinum Wrench flushed the system, and stated that they should have advised me that all new systems need to be flushed when replacing. Platinum Wrench never advise me that it needed to be done or offered to do it. I asked Platinum Wrench to install another new unit that I provide, flush it and recharge the system free of charge this time as they have caused me considerable time and expense to replace 2 units already. They refuse to stand behind their work and told me no.They stated that I did not ask for a system flush. I am NOT a mechanic so there is no way for me to know that the system needed flushed. Isn't this why mechanics get paid the big bucks?? Never in my life have I had to tell a mechanic how to do their job or what needs to be done. So after $320.00 in charges I have to pay another company to install another unit and flush and recharge the system. After years of business with Platinum Wrench servicing my personal car as well as ALL of our company’s vehicles they have now lost thousands and thousands of dollars in revenue. I advise everyone to take your business to a company that stands behind their work and avoid this business completely!

I am very happy to bring my car to McLeod's any time I have a problem. They are not only nice people, but really take care of problems in a way that works for both the car and customer. I will never go to another shop.

These guys and at Ice Cold Air, S Westshore blvd in Tampa, are really great! I was down from out of town and they took my car in right away, told me what was wrong, and had it fixed in no time, so I can still enjoy my vacation with my family. Juan is great. He understood my situation and had no problem getting my car in. Jeremy the owner works really well with his guys. He was also understanding to my situation. He's a family man himself. Joe and Manny did a great job showing me what was up with my car. They got the job done with no problems! Thanks guys!! I really appreciate everything you guys did!! We had a awesome vacation! Scam alert! Rennen Imports will scam you! Avoid using this “repair shop.” The idiot with the annoying British accent knows nothing about Porsche or German motors. Read the previous reviews, the negative reviews are very accurate. This scammer “repair shop” tried to tell me that my Porsche was dead, and their only option was a new motor starting at around $22,000. After paying to have my car towed here and back home, then paying for their fraudulent diagnosis, I had to pay yet again to have it towed to a REAL repair shop where they were able to determine that it was a $900 part and after labor, everything was going to cost $10,500. A big difference from $22,000. Then when given a chance to make things right, the idiot tells me he was never going to repair the engine, he would have just bought a new engine to put in, even though that contradicts what he had previously said when he told me it was going to cost $22,000 to “repair,” not replace the engine. Even when given the chance to make things right, this place tried to argue and blame me. The idiot then told me it was my fault that I bought a worthless car and there was nothing he could do. Obviously, I should have read all the previous reviews for this place, as the previous reviews are loaded with customers experiencing the EXACT same garbage service. Read the reviews, look at the other people who were “quoted” insanely high prices and all went elsewhere and paid LESS THAN HALF what Rennen quoted. Previous reviews: Rennen quoted $4,000 – Customer got the repair done for $569 Rennen quoted $800 – Customer got the repair done for $500 Rennen quoted $669 – Customer got the repair done for $239 And that’s just the ones who took the time to write a review for this scammer shop. This doesn’t even include all the negative reviews that all have the same theme: brought my car to Rennen Imports, got the car back and this was broken, that was broken, and Rennen Imports takes ZERO responsibility for breaking anything. In closing, you have a scammer “repair shop,” up-charging customers for repairs by hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars, and if that wasn’t bad enough, they’d break stuff on your car and claim they had nothing to do with it. If you like your car, enjoy not being scammed, and don’t want to spend 10 times what repairs should cost; I would HIGHLY suggest going literally ANYWHERE else. You would be 100 times better off trying to repair your car yourself with zero experience or knowledge of cars, since this would still be a more experienced and knowledge than any person working on your vehicle at Rennen Imports.

When my local discount auto parts store was unable to install their replacement battery in my 2012 Focus, when I asked for a recommendation. Without hesitation they recommended Brothers, touting their honesty, fairness and comoetency. Such a reasonable charge and quick service, I honestly gave them a tip! Just week's later, faced with the 2009Ford Flex AC not working and bizarre behavior before a trip to see family. I was able to find a 3rd party part I suspected was the likely culprit. Ford would have marked it up and it likely would have cost me 2 to 3 times as much. I got the part overnight and to Brothers by noon. By closing time it was fixed and ready for pick up. Read the reviews on Google, I just did. And liked most of them. Any less than stellar review was rare and in my opinion unwarranted. Brothers is aptly named. Although they could easily be called Friends or Family, as it was a joy meeting 3 generations of family. Owner. Son and 6 year okd grandson., I found out just before leaving.

I had got a price on getting the check engine light fixed at another shop in the area and was quoted right at $1000.00. I brought it in to Auto Air Muffler and Brake City in South Tampa and had it repaired at a cost of $260.00 and the light has not been on and I have already put over 1200 miles on the truck! They fixed the truck issue real fast and were really courteous and professional. I will never go anywhere else for service on any of my vehicles. My daughter's truck broke down while at USF and Robert from RJL repaired it quickly for very reasonable cost. I live a few hours from Tampa, so I called him after finding his shop on this website. He even offered to tow her truck if it couldn't make it to the shop. He was honest and only repaired what was broke and did not try to con her into anything more. Thanks Robert, I'll refer all the USF parents I know to your shop from now on.

I searched everywhere to find someone I could trust. Tons of questions and costs for things to be repaired or replaced. All this was because of a prior visits to another place who just looked at it and told me it needed a new transmission. When I finally contacted Engines and Transmission I felt by just talking to them I was at the place I needed to be. They took the time to answer questions, they picked up my vehicle, they called me at different steps to inform me of what they found. I went from thinking that I was going to have to replace/rebuild my transmission to items that were done in a much faster time and what was really needed. Living on a budget and worried about the cost...........I can not thank them enough for being so helpful, kind and considerate. I will return for checkups on a vehicle I had only had for 5 months and knew nothing about - but now I do. To everyone at Engines and Transmission but especially Ashley, Kate and Jason.. To Ashley Butler of 410 S.Dale Maybry ICE COLD AIR discount auto repair shop. I would just like to say how well she runs her bussiness and cares about her customers. I had a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder with a blown motor so I purchased one from a company that sells used motors and had Ice Cold Air do the installation,The can very goord for a month and then a feantw minnor problems occ likelyured, like an antifreeze leak which Ice Cold Air attemped to fix each time I had the car brought back. Then I had an oil leak which was most likely coming from the rear main seal which meant dropping the transmission which is a big job. So the reason I am writting this retraction is because I bad mouth her shop about not fixing the leaks when the car was brought back which ICE COLD AIR did every time the car was brought back and the oil leak I can ubderstand 10 hours of labor which the manager said if it's the rear main seal he would reimburst me for the labor. When my x-wife brought the car back to ICA cause she saw oil and antifreeze kind of leaking together and the manager tells her she needs to leave the car or it might cause more problems, you leave the car and not say I can't cause I need itthen;s your on your own if something like over heating occures and the motor seizes then it's notthe fault of the repair shop it's your fault. See I didn't know my X bruoght the car back for that problem and she was afraid to call and tell me this or my son and le Coldet my son drive 40 miles the next day I would of told her to leave the car right there and this never would of happened. To Ashley Butler I'm sorry I wrote the thing's I did about Ice Cold Air and only can say that Ashley Butler of ICE COLD AIR at 410 S.Dale Maybry runs a trust worthly repair shop and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone to go there for any type of repair work and I hope this can be posted for bad mouthing your bussiness for not knowing the facts. TIA Towing does not even deserve one star. Their representative Mary was very rude and I will NEVER do business with this company again. I called around to a few tow companies for pricing for a box truck and TIA had a good price. They quoted $125 over the phone. I let Mary know that I was a business and calling around for tow pricing and she said okay. When I called back to confirm the tow pick up, she reiterated $125 was the charge. There was no mention of anything else. When the tow truck driver arrived, he said the charge was $125 and they now do not accept checks. He then said that I could pay with a credit card but the charge would be $5-$10 more. I said that Mary mentioned nothing of an extra charge nor any mention of not accepting checks, especially since I told her this was a business. When I attempted to call TIA, the phone just rang and rang, then went to voicemail, then rang and rang again for two additional attempts. I was finally able to speak with Mary on the phone on the fourth attempt and she was quite rude and belligerent. I was explaining to her our phone conversation which she said that she remembered and that she would call me back regarding accepting a check. When she called me back four (4) minutes later, she still had a negative attitude and said due to bad checks they could not accept. She then said that she didn't know that $5-$10 would affect me so, so that is what the charge would now be. As I tried to explain to her that this is not the price she told me, she became irate and started to curse me and then hung up the phone on me. I tried to call her back two (2) times and there was no answer. She finally answered on my third try and said that I was giving her attitude and kept talking over me, not listening, and being very rude. She then said that she would take off the five dollars and as she continued with her overtly negative attitude said, "You know what? Forget it. I am not taking the charge off and not taking your credit card. Only cash. How long does my driver need to wait? How many minutes to wait for you to get cash? I am going to charge you for every minute until I get my cash. You need to decide what you are going to do cause I need my money. You call me when you figure it out." And then she proceeded to hang up on me again. As I attempted to call Mary back once again, the phone just rang and rang and she answered the phone on my next second attempt. She was still not listening and hung up on me prior to me even speaking. Their tow truck driver was also very disruptive and disrespectful as well. They did not even want to give me a receipt. I own a business and I would never treat vendors, customers, or any human being with such disdain. I will NEVER utilize their services again. This is not a customer service business. No one else should ever use TIA Towing.

As a as a former Marine honoring integrity is what us boys stand for! Without being said the two business owners and son are not in this for the money they're in this to help people that's who they are they all have honor and integrity. Pep Boys gave me an estimate to fix the front end in the same manner that one stop gave me an estimate for, Pep Boys estimate 738 dollars one stops estimate 166 dollars. Just to let you know I'm a mechanic and I used to own the shop before I became disabled, I also live in Land O Lakes and I won't bring my car anywhere else and Land O'Lakes is about 30 miles away
