Brake repair service near Colorado Springs, CO

Sorry, I just don't trust them. Too many mistakes, misdiagnosis and overcharges. They'll do ONE repair but charge 2 time codes. i.e. If you replace the alternator and the belt you don't charge for each as if seperate. Its simply dishonest. I will say they did refund Hundreds of dollars on one screw up, because I caught it. I gave 1 star only because 0 wasn't an option.

My deceased father used to take his Saturn Vue here back about 15 years ago, and the place was really great. In memory of the old man, I continued his legacy and kept taking the vue to Academy Car Care. Been a repeat customer for about 8 years or so. In that time I've had good service but lately it really has taken a turn for the worst. I first noticed something was amiss by John Massey (The owners son). His attitude really makes you wonder if he cares about his dad's business at all. Once this behavior began I should have found another shop probably 3-4 years ago. If he treats repeat customers in such a callus way, It makes me wonder how he treats his staff. A few visits previous I noticed odd things like various bolts not being tightened down properly (requiring me to take the car back in). Once again, trying to do as my dad would have done, I had the car taken in for a new clutch. Everything seemed fine for the first 10,000 miles. Now the clutch feels about as bad as it was at 70,000 with the stock clutch. Took it in and was told clutch was normal. Very frustrating the disconnect between management and the mechanics. I have a feeling that there is internal conflict with the staff here and they will take it out on your car. My trust us broken, and I will find another shop to do business with. Shame.

First, it took almost two hours to get my oil changed. Before they brought my car out they provided me with a list of issues that my car needed fixed, the biggest and most expensive being a new time belt. I was told the timing belt was cracking (I was priced an amount higher than the value of my car). I waited to get any repairs so I could get a second opinion and over night my car started leaking oil. I took it in to another shop that fixed the oil leak and they told me that the cover over the time belt did not look like it had been touched in a while and when they took it off to look, there was no cracking on the belt. Not only did Aspen auto lie to me, they extremely over priced me on repairs and created more issues with my car. I will never go here again.

my transmission was diagnosed by another shop as needing to be replaced at a cost of $3500.00, my coworker suggested I take it to Ken at KSouth Automotive for a second opinion, come to find out all it needed was a transmission control module. KSouth ended up saving me over $2700.00!! I'm loving my new mechanic!!

We’ve been going to Academy Nissan for over 15 years but never again. Ken knew exactly what was needed to fix our truck and for half of what the stealership was going to charge. finally we know we can travel without worries. Will be coming back here from now on with all our vehicles. Thank you Ken!!

I had an incredible experience with Kim. I took my Land Cruiser to the dealer and they tried to tell me my head gasket was cracked. Kim did a block test and some other diagnostics and quickly found out it was only a compromised radiator and got my Cruiser driving again. I can't be more thankful for Kim. She's the real deal.

After having my car at KSouth Automotive, Colorado Springs, for a tire rotation only 5 months ago (6,000 mi.), I turned off a highway onto a dirt road and one wheel fell off my car! 4 out of 5 studs were broken, and the lug nuts gone, except for one with half of the stud still in it. 3 car experts all told me that the tire was not torqued, or it was torqued wrong! The moulding above the tire, under the rear door, and the bumper were broken loose. I took the car to the shop and it was clear that the owner (Ken Southers) was not willing to admit that his mechanic may have missed the last tire. He did ask when was the last time I had my timing belt changed!?!?!? I watched Ken take the car into the bay where he said he would look at it. He did not. I watched him through the window, situated between the lobby and the bays, and he never looked at the wheel. Rather, he chatted with an employee at the front of my car who simply took a lug wrench and tightened my NEWLY replaced and properly torqued wheel, then drove my car out of the bay and told me they didn't find anything. He asked what I wanted from him--I wanted reimbursement for my car expense and lost wages that day. Ken got defensive and began to blame me for the problem. He refused and the argument ensued. Basically, do not take your car to this deceptive, irresponsible shop. Ken will tell you one thing and do another. He clearly does not take responsibility for the average work done here. I needed a timing belt and water pump for my 2000 camry so called around and was shocked by the prices most places wanted including the dealers so did a google search for best Toyota repair and Toy Tech came up I read thru the reviews and called them. I was not disappointed! Kimberly was very nice on the phone and they had the best price around. I made my appointment and she was happy to gave me a ride to my job. They finished the work when they said they would and also looked over the camry to make sure there were not any other problems. Dave made the car run like a champ! They were very pleasant and professional to work with! This is a great family owned business and I will take my Toyota to them any time I need repair work done. I thank God I found Toy Tech and have received great service from them on two Corollas for more than the past five years. Unlike some auto repair businesses, they treat women honestly and find the least expensive answer to my problems with quality repair work. It is owned and operated by a Christian family that walks their talk of absolute integrity. I once lost a $100 bill in their parking lot and they called me so I could recover it!
