Brake repair service near Seffner, FL

Myself and my family have lived in Dunedin for years, we know who the players are in this town for transmissions and brakes and all have been satisfied with the level of service from Shiftrite transmission for many years. They have the cleanest shop in town and their people are really honest and competent, I know them personally. I recommend these guys to all my family and friends because they are straight shooters. Any one who says these guys aren't the best and most trustworthy in the tampa bay area at transmissions and brakes - either have never dealt with Shiftrite or are their competition just trying to smudge them for their benefit.

Brought my car in because, firstly I had a small oil leak and because the car kept dying on me. It is an Audi A4 Turbo, 14 years old. Austin did all kinds of test trying also to save me money before changing the Cat, becauwe he initially thought it was the Catalytic Converter. WWell after working at least four hours on the car, changing a few things here and there, which were not fixing the problem, he determined I did in fact need a new Cat. Took five days to get the part..it is an Audi...anyway, my car now runs like a well oiled machine. Austin did many test runs while figuring out the problem with new codes popping up here and there. He offered to gas the car up for me, which I declined. He did not try to take advantage of me being a woman. For the first four hours of work which did not solve the problem, he offered to only charge me for one hour but I told him that we should split the hours. Very kind people. Family owned. Did the work at 50% below the cost of my least expensive quote from other shops. They didn't try to sell me on things I could go without! Now my baby and I have our A/C working again. Love these guys!

My wife has a 2009 Cadillac CTS that needed a spark plug changed according to the diagnostic scanner. I called Dimmitt Cadillac in Clearwater and spoke with Spencer to get an estimate before she went by to have it serviced. Spencer took my number and said he would call back in an hour. Spencer called by 4 hours later and gave me a price of $78 to change the plug and noted it could be a coil pack and if so, the total would be $275. We made the appointment and took the car in to Dimmitt Cadillac in Clearwater to have the plug changed. Several hours later we received a call from Bill in service who stated that the plug would cost $350 to change just the one spark plug. They also wanted to charge an additional $150 to diagnose the check engine light that we had already checked for free. Moral of this story: Always get an estimate when dealing with the service department at Dimmitt Cadillac in Clearwater! Otherwise just expect to be overcharged and under-serviced. Needless to say, we opted not to have the service done at Dimmit Cadillac as the price change between service advisers was so absorbent.
